Day 01: Arrival Lhasa
On your arrival at Lhasa airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel for overnight stay.
Lhasa at an altitude of 3,650 mt, is situated on the north bank of Kyichu River.
Lhasa in Tibetan means "Place of the Gods", the residence of the Dalai Lama.
It is sacred because of the figures of Songtsen Gampo and his two royal consorts and the figures of Sakyamuni brought from Chang' an and Nepal. One thousand five hundred years ago Lhasa was known as Otang, which means, "plain flowing with milk," because of its rich pasture, good for grazing sheep and cattle.The Rasa Monastery soon became the Otang people's central place of worship, for it enshrined the gilded image of Sakyamuni brought from Chang's an by Princess Wen Cheng. In the course of time, the original name of the place was forgotten, and it became known simply as Rasa, which was gradually changed into Lhasa.
Day 02: In Lhasa
Morning you will proceed for full day sightseeing of Potala Palace, Ramoche Monastery and & Norbulinka.
Visting Potala Palace, this legendary palace built atop a single hill is synonymous with Tibet by the first foremost king Songtsen Gompa. Norbulingka meaning 'Treasure Park' covers an area of around 360000 sq. m. and is considered to be the biggest man made garden in Tibet.

Day 03: In Lhasa
Morning you will proceed for full day sightseeing of Drepung Monastery
Drepung Monastery is one the three greatest Buddhist temples in Lhasa together with Sera and Ganden Monasteries. This temple was originally built in 1416 when the Buddhist Gelug Sect was in the golden time.
Visit Drepung Monastery for the whole morning, later after lunch also visit Sera monastery.

Day 04: Lhasa- Namtso Lake (250 Kms /05 Hrs)
Morning you will leavening from Lhasa to Namtso Lake. On the way you will see the huge Changtang grassland and have a chance see the sky road- Qinghai Tibet Railway passing through it look likes a dragon. Pass by Nagchu Town. Then the Nyenchen Thanglha snow mountain ranges in front of you, and also you will pass the Nagela Pass. Then arrive at Namtso Holy Lake, you can do a very relax trekking around the lake side and Zhaxi Island and enjoy the sunset by the lake.

Day 05: Namtso lake- Yamdrotso Lake- Gyantse (590km)
Morning time enjoy sunrise beside the holy lake. Then pass Gangbala Mt. which is over than 5000m, take photo at Yamdrotso lake which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. One the way to Gyantse can be visit Karola Glacier then arrive at Gyantse.

Day 06: Gyantse- Shigats- Old Tingri(400km) Old Tingri
Morning time visit Gyantse Kumbum, far view of Gyantse Dzong. Then driving to Shigatse. After lunch visit Tashilumpo Monastery which was Built in1447, spectacular tombs of Panchen Lamas, have a good rest in Shigatse, then drive back to old Tingri prepare for trekking.

Day 07: Tsojan Village (Trekking, , 4 Hrs Trekking)
The elevation of Tsojan Village is 4500m and 4- 5 hours of trekking is needed. The trek begins in Old Tingri and you pass through Lunja as your head south towards Everest in the distance. The high flat plain typical of Tibet allows for gradual elevation gains during the day. A water-powered barley mill is passed along the way.
Stay overnight at camp.
Day 08: Old Tingri - NamLa Pass (Trekking, 6 Hrs)
The elevation of Nam- La Pass is 5100m and you will need 6 hours for trekking. As you continue up the valley. Everest disappears behind the mountains and as the trail turns to the southeast and begins to climb to the pass.
Camping at the beyond NamLa.
Stay overnight at camp.
Day 09: Rongphu Monastery (Trekking, 4980M)
Continue along the way towards the main road by passing Zemukh village, connect with the main road and continue on to the Rongpu Monastery.
Overnight in Rongbu Monastery.
Day 10: Rongpu Monastery- Everest Base Camp (Trekking, 5200M, 2 hours)
Today you can have a good relax at Rongphu, and then head up to E.B.C. It only takes 02 hours hike to E.B.C from Rongphu, you can stay one night at E.B.C. Camping.
Stay overnight at camp.
Day 11: Everest Base Camp- Shigatse
After sunrise at Everest Base Camp, start driving back to Shigatse and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 12: Shigatse- Lhasa
Morning drive for Lhasa and on arrival check –in into the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 13: Lhasa Departure
As per scheduled you will be transferred to airport to connect flight for onward journey. |
