Day 01: Arrival Cochin
On your arrival at airport, met and transfer to the hotel.

 

One of the finest natural harbors on the Arabian Sea coast, Kochi, earlier known as Cochin, has been a port of all for foreign traders from early times. The city of peninsulas and islands, today it is Kerala’s commercial hub .Chinese Fishing Nets at the entrance of Cochin harbor are a fascinating sight.  Bolgatty Island houses Bolgatty Island built by the Dutch in 1774, which is former residence of the British Resident of Kochi. The Portuguese led by Vasco Da Gama arrived in 1502 and later the Dutch and the British.  And descendants of the Jews who arrived in ancient days

 

Morning take Half day tour Cochin

 

Visiting Fort Cochin, proceed on a sight seeing tour to attractions such as the Dutch Palace, Chinese Fishing Nets named after the country of their origin. Jewish Synagogue,  in Mattancherry was built in 1568 and rebuilt in 1664 with Chinese willow-patterned tiles and gold crowns and has ancient scrolls,  Mattancherry Palace,  See St. Francis Church, the first European Church in India, where Vasco Da Gama was buried until his remains were taken back to Portugal, and Fort Cochin. Visit the Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese in 1510 and later taken over by the Dutch.


In the evening attend Kathakali performance- a traditional dance of Kerala.

Day 02: Cochin - Munnar
Drive to Munnar, the next day and reaching check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.

 

Munnar, Tea estates provides a panoramic view of the valley and tea plantation. The enchanting high range of lakes and streams, the low-flying clouds and the mist-filled valleys cast a magical spell, which lingers long in the memory. The hill area is breathtakingly beautiful and is easily comparable to the best mountain ranges found anywhere in the world.  


Day 03: In Munnar
Take breakfast and go on a visit of tea gardens.


Stay overnight at hotel.

 

Day 04: Munnar - Vandenmedu
Morning proceed for Vandenmedu and on arrival check-in into the hotel.


 In the afternoon visit Cardamom Plantation.


Later take  half-day visit to the tea factory at Kailasam.
Stay overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 05: Vandenmedu - Periyar
Drive to Periyar after taking breakfast and on reaching check in at the hotel.

 

In the afternoon visit Lake Periyar to spot herds of Elephants. You will also see other species like leopard, wild dog, barking deer, mouse deer, Nilgiri langur (a primate), bonnet macaque, sambhar, porcupines, squirrels, gaur (Indian bison), wild boar and sloth bear etc. The population of tigers is also increasing at an appreciable rate in Periyar.

 

Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the well-known wildlife sanctuaries in the south. Also called the Thekkady Wildlife Sanctuary, this place is ideal for watching the animals in their natural habitat. This lake serves as the waterhole for the animals and they come here to drink or take a dip. Elephants, Gaur, Sambhar and even tigers can be spotted here.

Later a boat ride to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. During your boat cruise, you will also be able to have a good look at many wild animals lazing on the banks of Lake Periyar.

Day 06: Periyar- Kumarakom

Morning you will proceed for Kumarakom and on arrival check-in into the hotel for  overnight stay.


The village of Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake in Kerala, which is home to local varieties of waterfowl, cuckoo, and water ducks, as well as migrating Siberian storks. Furthermore Vembanad Lake is home to several types of marine life exclusively the 'Karimeen' (Pearl Spotted Fish), the 'Chemeen' (Prawns).

Day 07: Kumarakom - Alleppey
Drive to Alleppey the next day and embark on to your houseboat. Enjoy your cruise in the backwaters while traversing the narrow canals and viewing the village life of Kerala.

 

Alleppey or Alappuzha is a picturesque town dotted with canals, backwaters, beaches and lagoons. Also known as the Venice of the East, Alleppey, Alleppey is one of the major tourist destinations of India.

 

Stay Overnight at the hotel.

Day 08: Alleppey - Kovalam

Take breakfast and drive to Kovalam

 

Located on the shores of Arabian Sea, Kovalam is a beautiful beach town in the Kerala state of India. One of the major tourist spots in India, Kovalam houses number of golden sandy beaches, famous being the Light House Beach and the Hawah Beach.

 

On reaching check in to the hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 09: In Kovalam
Full free for independent activities or rest and relaxation.

 

Recharge your senses in the day with herbal oil Ayurvedic massages and spend the remaining day Kovalam enjoying nature at play.
Stay Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 10: Kovalam - Trivandrum
Transfer to the Trivandrum airport to board flight for the onward destination.
