Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
On your arrival at International airport, you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight stay.
Kathmandu the capital of the Nepal Kingdom, surrounded by green hills and mountains with snow capped peaks against its northern and eastern background the Valley is indeed beautiful. There are complex examples of Nepal’s art and architecture all round.
Day 02: In Kathmandu
This morning, enjoy a full day city tour of Kathmandu,
Visiting temples of Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, temple of the living and Also visit Residence of the Living Goddess near the Durbar Square, which is residence of Kumari, the Living Goddess (Virgin Goddess). Its wooden balconies and windows are profusely carved.
Afternoon city tour of Kathmandu city includes Hanuman Dhoka, the historic palace of the ancient kings of Nepal. A complex of many temples and monuments, guarded by a huge statue of the Monkey God, Hanuman, it has evolved to its present state of maturity over a period of centuries with contributions from a number of dynasties, headed by Malla kings. It is here that the kings of Nepal are crowned, and their coronations solemnized. There are complex examples of Nepal’s art and architecture all round.
Rest of the evening is free to enjoy exploring local animated market.

Day 03: Kathmandu - Paro
In time transfer to airport to board flight for Paro, and arrival met and transfer to hotel.
Rest of day you are free for independent activities.

Paro one of Bhutan's most impressive and well-known dzongs, and the finest example of Bhutanese architecture. The inward-sloping walls form a massive structure that towers over the town and is visible as a great white monolith from vantage points throughout the valley.
Day 04: Paro – Thimpu (65 Kms /02 Hrs)
Full day we take city tour of Paro.
Visiting of the Drukgley Dzong and on a clear day the 24,000 ft. white domed peak of sacred Chomolhari (Mt. of Goddess) looms overhead. A visit to the National Museum housed in an ancient watch tower, which has a fine collection of Thangkha, textiles, weapons, and artefacts-short walk to Paro Rimpung Dzong.
Afternoon proceed for Thimpu by surface and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.
Thimphu is the Capital to the tiny Himalayan kingdom Bhutan. Thimphu is a gallery of traditional Bhutanese art, architecture, culture, and tradition and above all still so ethnic and pure. Full of wonderful Hand woven textiles, woodcarving, and tailor made clothing, jewelry. And it is said that Thimphu is the only world capital without traffic lights.
Day 05: In Thimpu
Full day you will take visit to Thimpu
Morning visit to the National Library which hosts a vast collection of ancient Buddhist National Institute for Zorig Chumsu is commonly known as 'the painting school and Dechenchholing valley and witness the gold and silver smiths at work.
Afternoon you will take a visit to handicrafts Emporium, to see the exquisite artistry of traditional crafts and textiles.

Day 06: Thimphu – Trongsa
Drive to Trongsa via Dochula pass (3,050m). From this pass, on a clear day, one can have a superb view of the highest peaks in Bhutan such as Gangkhar Puensum, Jeje Khang, Masagang, Gangchey Ta. Drive further to Wangduephodrang town which is also your lunch stop. Then proceed to Trongsa crossing 3,300m Pele la pass.

Day 07: Trongsa – Bumthang
Morning visit to striking Trongsa Dzong, ancestral abode of Bhutan’s Royal family. Then visit Ta Dzong, built as watch tower to guard Trongsa Dzong. Proceed to Bumthang and in the afternoon, visit here ; the Jakar Dzong built in 17th century during the time of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the first religious and temporal ruler of Bhutan. Then visit the Kurjey monastery where Guru Padsambhava left his body imprint in the 8th century. The temple was later built in 17th century. Later visit Jambay Lhakhang.

Day 08: Bumthang – Gorsum (18 Kms/07 Hrs)
The trek route passes through Chemkhar Chhu, the river famous for trouts. Camp at altitude 3,120m.
Day 09: Gorsum – Lungsum (12 Kms, 5 Hrs)
Today’s route passes through the dense forests of spruce, hemlock, cypress, juniper and maples. The trail is more or less muddy and ascends gradually till you reach to campsite at altitude 3,160m.
Day 10: Lungsum – Tshochenchen
Trek through dense vegetation till you reach Tashochenchen at an altitude of 3,700m. Camp is just above the treeline.
Day 11: Tshenchen – Duer Tsachu (17 Kms, 6/7 Hrs)
The day’s walk is uphill, passing a small lake until you reach at Juli La (4,700m). After crossing the pass the trail descends to a lake, then climbs again to Gokthong La (pass). The trail then traverses tohrough jungle to a camp near Duer hot spring at 3,550m. Musk deer, Blue sheep and Himalayan bear may be seen on this part of trek.
Day 12: Duer Tsachu – Tshochenchen (17 Kms 6/7Hrs)
Start early crossing again Juli La pass en route. After this pass it is gradual descent till the campsite.
Day 13: Tashochenchen – Gorsum
Being a long route, today’s trek should be started early.
Day 14: Gorsum – Bumthang
From Gorsum walk downhill till you reach the Duer village. Then follow the new motorable road. Stay overnight at the lodge in Bumthang.
Day 15: Bumthang – Punakha (205 Kms 06 Hrs)
Explore fascinating Bumthang valley. After early lunch drive to Punakha for overnight stay.
Day 16: Punakha – Paro (125 km, 04 Hrs)
Morning visit to Punakha Dzong and Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten
Later drive to Paro and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 17: Paro - Delhi - Home
Airport transfer and flight back to Delhi. After reaching the airport of Delhi take the connecting flight to your onward destination. |
