Day 01:  Arrive Lhasa
On your arrival at International airport, transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.

Lhasa in Tibetan means "Place of the Gods", the residence of the Dalai Lama. It is sacred because of the figures of Songtsen Gampo and his two royal consorts and the figures of Sakyamuni brought from Chang' and Nepal. One thousand five hundred years ago Lhasa was known as Otang, which means, "plain flowing with milk," because of its rich pasture, good for grazing sheep and cattle. The Rasa Monastery soon became the Otang people's central place of worship, for it enshrined the gilded image of Sakyamuni brought from Chang's an by Princess Wen Cheng. In the course of time, the original name of the place was forgotten, and it became known simply as Rasa, which was gradually changed into Lhasa.

Day 02: In Lhasa
Morning you will proceed for full day sightseeing of Potala Palace, Jokhang monastery, Ramoche Monastery and & Norbulinka.

Visit Potala, which was constructed in 637 by Songtsen Gampo, the first king of the united Tibet and later reconstructed and served as the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas. and Jokhang monastery, the center of the Tibetan Buddhism and the sacred land of Buddhist followers where innumerable pilgrims come for worship everyday. The temple, built in 647, is the earliest wood-and-masonry structure still existing in Tibet. Norbulingka meaning 'Treasure Park' covers an area of around 360000 sq. m. and is considered to be the biggest man made garden in Tibet. 

Later walk on the Barkhor Street nearby the temple, a big free market with its prolific stalls for selling local specialties.

Day 03: In Lhasa
Morning you will proceed for full day sightseeing of Drepung Monastery & Sera monastery. 

Drepung Monastery is one the three greatest Buddhist temples in Lhasa together with Sera and Ganden Monasteries.

Visit Drepung Monastery for the whole morning, later after drive to Sera Monastery, have a little hike for the beautiful valley scenery nearby and picnic there, in the afternoon, visit Sera monastery, which was created in 1419 and has always been an important Buddhist seminary. As rose are planted everywhere in the monastery, it is also called “the court of wild rose”.

Day 04: Lhasa – Gandan Monasery – Basomtso Lake
In morning you will drive about one and half hours to get to Gandan Monastery for a visit.

It is the first Gelugpa monastery. Basomtso Lake, 3,500 meters above sea level, originates from Nyching Tanglha Mountain and is a dozen kilometers long. Snow-covered mountains, glaciers and tress are reflected upon the lake’s rippled surface. There are small islands in the middle of the lake with Lamaist temples built upon them.

Day 05:  Basomtso Lake - Bayi
Visit Basomtso Lake and enjoy the beautiful views there in the whole morning. And then leave for Bayi town, the capital of Nyingchi area. And then continue driving about 2 hours to get to Bayi. Upon arrival there, visit a huge cypress tree of over thousand years old.

Rest time you can stroll in the city for the modern city in East Tibet.

Day 06: Bayi – Lhasa
In the morning you will be is free on your own, later driving back to Lhasa and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 07: Lhasa Departure
 As per scheduled transfer to airport to connect return flight for onward journey.
