Day 01: Chengdu –Lhasa - Tsedang
Take the morning flight to Lhasa. Met at airport, then drive to Tsetang.


Tsetang, the birthplace of earliest Tibetans, sits on the south bank in the middle section of Yarlung Tsangpo Rivet with a moderate climate at an altitude of 3,600 metres. The nearby Yalong River scenic area is a national scenic park with Samya Monastery, Yumbu Lakang Palace, and Chanzhu Monastery spotting the region.

Morning you will proceed to visit Yumbulagang & Trandruk Monastery.
Stay overnight at your hotel.


 Day 02: Tsedang – Shigatse
 Visit Samye Monastery in the morning


Old Town of Shigatse, a great place to wander around Nicely decorated Tibetan houses and interesting market and bazaar give you a vivid picture of local people's life.

 Day 03: Shigatse - Gyantse - Shigatse
Today, drive for 90 Kms to visit Gyantse Zong & Peilkor Monastery.
Stay overnight at hotel.


 Day 04: Shigatse – Lhasa
 In the morning, visit Tashilhunpo Monastery-the seat of Panchen Lamas. In afternoon you will drive back to Lhasa and stay overnight at hotel.


 Day 05: Lhasa – Namtso - Lhasa

Today, you will have such different landscape to enjoy. Namtso-the sky lake in Tibet, is the ideal place to cleanse your heart & soul.


In the afternoon you will proceed for Lhasa and on arrival transfer to hotel.

 

Lhasa in Tibetan means "Place of the Gods", the residence of the Dalai Lama. It is sacred because of the figures of Songtsen Gampo and his two royal consorts and the figures of Sakyamuni brought from Chang' and Nepal. One thousand five hundred years ago Lhasa was known as Otang, which means, "plain flowing with milk," because of its rich pasture, good for grazing sheep and cattle. The Rasa Monastery soon became the Otang people's central place of worship, for it enshrined the gilded image of Sakyamuni brought from Chang's and by Princess Wen Cheng. In the course of time, the original name of the place was forgotten, and it became known simply as Rasa, which was gradually changed into Lhasa.

Day 06: In Lhasa
Morning you will proceed for full day sightseeing of Potala Palace, Ramoche Monastery and & Norbulinka.

 

Potala Palace, this legendary palace built atop a single hill is synonymous with Tibet by the first foremost king Songtsen Gompa. Norbulingka meaning 'Treasure Park' covers an area of around 360000 sq. m. and is considered to be the biggest man made garden in Tibet.

Day 07: In Lhasa
Morning you will proceed for full day sightseeing of Jokhang Monastery, Sera Monastery and Barkhor Market.

 

Sera Monastery, 5 Kms north of Lhasa and Sera setting is one of Lhasa's prettiest monasteries was once Jokhang Temple, situated in the heart of Old Lhasa, it houses Tibet's most precious religious relic, a golden Shakyamuni Buddha which was brought as a gift by the Chinese Princess Wen Cheng on the occasion of her wedding to the Tibetan King, Songtsen Gompo. At last visit to local animated Barkhot Market.


Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 08: Lhasa - Kathmandu (By Flight)
In time transfer to airport to connect return flight for Kathmandu, after reaching at Kathmandu airport board on connecting the fight for onward journey.
