Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
On your early morning arrival at international airport, transfer to your hotel.
Kathmandu the capital and cultural hub of Nepal Kingdom, surrounded by green hills and mountains with snow capped peaks against its northern and eastern background the Valley is indeed beautiful. There are complex examples of Nepal’s art and architecture all round.
Day 02: In Kathmandu
Morning proceed to sightseeing of the city
Visiting temples of Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, temple of the living and Also visit Durbar Square, which is residence of Kumari, the Living Goddess (Virgin Goddess), its wooden balconies and windows are profusely carved. Later visit Hanuman Dhoka, the historic palace of the ancient kings of Nepal. A complex of many temples and monuments, guarded by a huge statue of the Monkey God, It is here that the kings of Nepal are crowned, and their coronations solemnized.
Rest of the day you will be free to enjoy exploring local animated market.

Day 03: Kathmandu - Nagarkot
Early morning drive to Nagarkot and on arrival check-in into the hotel.
At a height of 2,099 Mtr above sea level, the hill top is visited for viewing beautiful sunrises and sunsets & the visitors take delight in the layout of the Kathmandu Valley below.
Evening you will hike to the hill area to see the beautiful sunset view from the Nagarkot.

Day 04: Nagarkot - Dhulikhel - Kathmandu
Early morning get –up for to see sunrise from the hotel. And later drive to Dhulikhel.
The walk continues along mountain trails to Dhulikhel to explore rural Nepal's traditional villages and lifestyles and its beautiful countryside.
Later proceed for Kathmandu and on arrival check-in into the hotel of overnight stay.
Day 05: Kathmandu - Paro
In time transfer to airport to board flight for Paro, and arrival met and transfer to hotel.
Rest of day you are free for independent activities.

Paro one of Bhutan's most impressive and well-known Dzong, and the finest example of Bhutanese architecture. The inward-sloping walls form a massive structure that towers over the town and is visible as a great white monolith from vantage points throughout the valley.
Day 06: In Paro (65 Kms /02 Hrs)
Full day we take city tour of Paro.
Visiting of the Drukgley Dzong and on a clear day the 24,000 ft. white domed peak of sacred Chomolhari (Mt. of Goddess) looms overhead. A visit to the National Museum housed in an ancient watch tower, which has a fine collection of Thangkha, textiles, weapons, and artefacts-short walk to Paro Rimpung Dzong.

Day 07: Excursion to Taktshang monastery
In the morning we drive to visit Taktshang monastery.
Hike or take a horse ride to Taktsang Monastery viewpoint. Taktsang meaning “Tiger’s Nest” is built around a cave in which Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) meditated clings seemingly impossible to a cliff at 3000 feet above the valley floor. For the local people it is a place of pilgrimage, but for a tourist, a hike up to the viewpoint opposite the monastery can be exhausting, thrilling and mystical. The legend has it that Guru Rimpoche is had flown to the site of monastery on the back of tigress from Tibet and meditated in the cave there for three months.

Day 08: Paro - Thimpu
Early in the morning you will we drive to Thimphu and on arrival check-in into the hotel.
Thimphu is the Capital to the tiny Himalayan kingdom Bhutan. Thimphu is a gallery of traditional Bhutanese art, architecture, culture, and tradition and above all still so ethnic and pure. Full of wonderful Hand woven textiles, woodcarving, and tailor made clothing, jewelry. And it is said that Thimphu is the only world capital without traffic lights.
Full day you will take visit to Thimpu
Morning visit to the National Library which hosts a vast collection of ancient Buddhist National Institute for Zorig Chumsu is commonly known as 'the painting school and Dechenchholing valley and witness the gold and silver smiths at work.

Day 09: Thimpu - Punakha
In the morning we will drive over the 10,000ft Dochu La pass into the balmy Punakha valley.
In the Dochhu la area there are vast Rhododendron forests blooming in late April or early May. We slowly decend into the green Wangduephodrang Valley from the height of the pass, with its sweeping view of the snow peaks in clear weather and finally reach Wangduephodrang Dzong which is perched on a spur at the confluence of two rivers. Then we drive over a high pass down into the Phobjikha valley, one of Bhutan's few glacial valleys which is a home of black necked cranes, migrating from the Tibetan plateau.
In the late afternoon, we also pay our visit to Gangtey Monastery.

Day 10: Punakha - Bumthang
In the morning we will we drive to Bumthang across Pele la passes.
We also visit Chendebji Chorten erected in the 18 th centuries.
Afternoon we visit Trongsa Dzong and then proceed to Bumthang. Bumthang is associated with Guru Rinpoche and with Terton Pemalingpa .The major attractions of the valley are Jaker Dzong, Kurjey Lhakhang and Jambay Lhakhang.

Day 11: Excursion to Mongar
The drive to Mongar takes about 6 hours, with spectacular view en route. We will drive up into the hills above the valley and then past Ura village, before climbing sharply to the highest point on Bhutan's motorable road network, Thrumsing -la pass. The road gradually descends to the alpine valley of Sengor and stops at 700m/2,300ft, where we cross the Kuri chu (river). Before, we ascend, we take our lunch and move ahead through pine forests, maize fields and eastern hamlets to reach Mongar town. The Mongar Dzong will be visited which was built in the 1930s.

Day 12: Mongar - Tashigang
It is about 96km far from Mongar with a normal drive of 3 hours. After driving through the Kori-la pass dominated by chorten and mani wall, we descend through corn field and banana groves to reach the road zigzag just below Yadi. After lunch, we will visit Tashigang Dzong, standing at the extreme end of a rocky outcrop far above the river gorge.

Day 13: Excursion to Gom Kora
In the morning we proceed to visit the temple of Gom Kora, which is situated at about 24km from Tashigang. Then, we continue on down the road to Doksum village, where we can find women weaving traditional Bhutanese fabric, and a chain-link swing bridge dating back to the 15th century. We also visit Tashiyangtse.
Later we will also visit the dazzling white stupa of Chorten Kora on the riverbank below the town.
In the evening we return to Tashigang.

Day 14: Tashigang - Mongar
In the morning we will drive back to Mongar. On the way back to Mongar, we turnoff on the left and lead up to Drametse Temple which is perched on top of a steep hill above the village. It is regarded as the most important monastery of eastern Bhutan.
After visiting the monastery, we will continue drive to Monger and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 15: Mongar - Bumthang
In the morning we will drive to Bumthang to view wild life as well as to see the Himalayan ranges from the passes. We will ease and rest at Ura and spend sometime in and around Ura valley. Then we go to Bumthang in the late afternoon.

Day 16: Bumthang – Punakha
In the morning we will drive to Punakha crossing Kiki la pass & Yo-tong la pass. After a break in Trongsa, we continue our drive to Punakha and stop at Chendeji Chorten.
Afternoon we drive across Pele la pass and overnight in a hotel.

Day 17: Punakha - Thimpu
Today we visit Punakha Dzong before leaving for Thimphu.
Punakha, is the ancient capital of Bhutan. It is situated at the confluence of the Mo Chu and Pho chu rivers. It is also the winter headquarters of the Je Khenpo. The Dzong was build by Shabdrung in 1637. After completing the sightseeing in Punakha, we drive to Thimphu and overnight in a hotel at Lobesa.
Day 18: Thimpu – Paro - Kathmandu Departure
In the morning as per scheduled you will be transferred to airport to connect flight to Kathmandu. After reaching the Kathmandu airport take the connecting flight to your onward destination. |
