Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
On your arrival at Kathmandu you will be met and transferred to the hotel for overnight stay.
Kathmandu the capital of the Nepal Kingdom, surrounded by green hills and mountains with snow capped peaks against its northern and eastern background the Valley is indeed beautiful. There are complex examples of Nepal’s art and architecture all round.
Day 02: In Kathmandu
Enjoy a full day city tour of Kathmandu,
Visiting temples of Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, temple of the living and Also visit Residence of the Living Goddess near the Durbar Square, which is residence of Kumari, the Living Goddess (Virgin Goddess). Its wooden balconies and windows are profusely carved.
Afternoon city tour of Kathmandu city includes Hanuman Dhoka, the historic palace of the ancient kings of Nepal. A complex of many temples and monuments, guarded by a huge statue of the Monkey God, Hanuman, it has evolved to its present state of maturity over a period of centuries with contributions from a number of dynasties, headed by Malla kings. It is here that the kings of Nepal are crowned, and their coronations solemnized. There are complex examples of Nepal’s art and architecture all round.
Day 03: Kathmandu - Nagarkot
We begin our half day sight seeing tour of Kathmandu valley by visiting two very important religious centers, Pashupatinath temple for the Hindus, nearby along the banks of the river Bagmati is the cremation area for the dead. Boudhanath is possibly the largest stupa in the world and the center for Tibetan school of Buddhism. We then drive on to Bhaktapur the medical cities of devotees and the best preserved of all the old cities of Kathmandu Valley.
Later you will drive to our resort in Nagarkot. We have Himalayan sunset views and we spend the night in the resort.
Day 04: Nagarkot - Kathmandu
We wake up early in the morning to enjoy the beautiful sunrise view.
After breakfast we drive back to Kathmandu and again go for the half day valley sight seeing tour
Visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, the place of the Malla and then the Shah kings of Nepal. Places of interest here are the Kasthamandap, a medieval rest said to give Kathmandu its name, Kumari Temple, abode of the virgin goddess. From here we visit Swoyambhunath stupa on top of the hill overlooking Kathmandu valley and then we visit Patan city famous for its arts and crafts. Tour highlights are the Shikara - style Krishna Temple, Patan Durbar with Royal bath, Hiranya Varna Mahavir - a Buddhist Monastery. In the evening we go by Rickshaw to have a Typical Nepalese Dinner in Lus Kus Restaurant at Thamel.
We come back by Rickshaw.
Day 05: Kathmandu - Pokhara
In the morning you will drive to Pokhara through scenic mountain terrain and on arrival check-in into the hotel.
Pokhara is part of a once vibrant trade route extending between India and Tibet. Its peaceful lakeside location and proximity to the Annapurna mountain range, mean it is an ideal place for recovering from (or gearing up for) for execution. the valley surrounding Pokhara is home to thick forests, gushing rivers, emerald lakes, and of course, the world famous views of the Himalaya.
The day is spent unraveling the wonders of the Pokhara Valley.
Enjoy a visit to the Tibetan settlements, the handicraft markets and the Gupteshwar cave where the Shiva lingam is preserved and finally a visit Devi's fall. In the evening enjoy boating on Phewa lake (on direct payment basis).
Rest of the evening is free to enjoy the serenity and magnificence of the Himalayas.
Enjoy a leisurely walk around the serene Phewa Lake.
Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Pokhara - Kathmandu
In the morning you will drive back to Kathmandu and check-in into your hotel.
Stay overnight at your hotel.
Day 07: Departure Kathmandu
In the morning as per scheduled you will be transferred to the airport to board on flight for onward journey. |
