A Grand Nepal Tour


Duration: 13 Nights / 14 Days
Places to visit: Kathmandu - Ghorka - Pokhara - Tansen - Lumbini - Chitwan - Daman - Nagarkot - Kathmandu


Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
On your arrival at Kathmandu you will be met and transferred to the hotel for overnight stay.


Kathmandu the capital of the Nepal Kingdom, surrounded by green hills and mountains with snow capped peaks against its northern and eastern background the Valley is indeed beautiful. There are complex examples of Nepal’s art and architecture all round. 


Day 02: In Kathmandu
In the morning you proceed for sightseeing tour


Visiting temples of Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, temple of the living and Also visit Residence of the Living Goddess near the Durbar Square, which is residence of Kumari, the Living Goddess (Virgin Goddess).  Its wooden balconies and windows are profusely carved.


Afternoon city tour of Kathmandu city includes Hanuman Dhoka, the historic palace of the ancient kings of Nepal.  A complex of many temples and monuments, guarded by a huge statue of the Monkey God, Hanuman, it has evolved to its present state of maturity over a period of centuries with contributions from a number of dynasties, headed by Malla kings.  It is here that the kings of Nepal are crowned, and their coronations solemnized.  There are complex examples of Nepal’s art and architecture all round. 


Rest of the evening is free to enjoy exploring local animated markets.

Day 03: Kathmandu - Gorkha (136 Kms / 05 Hrs)
In the morning you will drive to Gorkha-the ancestral seat of the Shah Dynasty Kings and home of the original Gurkha soldiers. 
Arrive and check-in into the resort.


After refreshment in the resort, visit the 17th century built Gorkha Palace complex which comprise a temple, palace and fort. The view of Manaslu range from here is just superb.
Stay overnight  resort.


Day 04: Ghorka -Pokhara (110 Kms / 04 Hrs)
In the morning you will drive to Pokhara
The drive offers excellent views of the Himalayas and passes through several roadside bazaars and villages.


Arrive Pokhara and check-in into hotel and after refreshment boating trip to Barahi Temple situated in the middle of the lake.
Stay overnight at hotel.


Day 05: In Pokhara

In the morning you will take a hike to Sarangkot.
Sarangkot offers the excellent views of Annapurnas, Machhapuchhre and Dhaulagiri on a clear weather day.
 After some rest at top, drive back to Pokhara.


Later sightseeing of Davis Falls, Gupteswar Cave, and Seti Gorge.
Stay overnight  resort.


Day 06: Pokhara - Tansen (118 Kms / 04 Hrs)
In the morning you will drive to Tansen renowned as the Queen of Hills of Nepal.


The town sprawls over a ridge with pretty Newar houses lining its cobbled streets. Srinagar, the popular vantage point over Tansen offers the splendid views of the Himalayas.


Day 07: Tansen-Lumbini (65 Kms / 03 Hrs)
In the morning you will drive to Lumbini-the birthplace of Lord Buddha.


Lumbini is the hallowed birthplace of Siddhartha Gautam, the Shakya prince, the eventual Shakyamuni and the ultimate Buddha - the Enlightened One. This nativity site, identified by Emperor Ashoka’s commemorative pillar erected over 2,200 years ago. The Pillar was erected by Emperor Ashoka in 249 BC to commemorate his pilgrimage to the sacred site. The inscription on it authenticates Lumbini as the place where the Buddha was born in 623 BC.


Evening proceed for sight seeing tour of Lumbani.

 

Visiting the important archaeological site, Tilaurkot, the ancient palace of King Suddodha (Siddhartha Gautam's father), where the Buddha spent his formative years as a Shakya Prince. The Kapilvastu Museum; the pottery, jewelry and ornaments are gathered in-house. End up the remarkable tour in Tilaurkot by visiting the shrines, monasteries and stupa near the sacred garden.

 

Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 08: Lumbini-Chitwan (158 Kms / 0 4 Hrs)
In the morning you will proceed for Chitwan by surface and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight


Chitwan, located at the foothills of the Himalayas, Chitwan is famous for its rich flora, fauna and wildlife, especially the single-horned Asiatic rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal tiger


Rest of the afternoon is free for nature walks.

Day 09: In Chitwan
In the morning you Jeep Safari at Chitwan National Park


Early morning, proceed on a safari in jeeps into the Royal Chitwan National Park, passing through Sal forests, riverine vegetation and 'elephant grass' savannah. Spot different species of birds, butterflies and the most famous single-horned Asian rhinoceros. If lucky you will spot the Royal Bengal tiger.

 

Rest of the afternoon is free for nature walks.

Day 10: In Chitwan
In the early morning, you will take a bird watching trip guided by our experienced and qualified birdwatcher guides. Chitwan National Park, habitat to more than 500 different species of resident and migratory birds, is a haven for bird watchers. Return to hotel for breakfast and free stay till afternoon.


Afternoon you will go for jeep safari. You will drive through different vegetations like wetlands, grasslands, Sal forest etc. Sometime the park authority do not allow jeep safari in the park and in option, we will offer you trip to the lake of "20 thousands lake" in the buffer zone forest of the park where chance of animal sightseeing is not less compared.
Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Chitwan-Daman (140 Kms /05 Hrs)
In the morning you will proceed for Daman along the winding and snaking road carved out of the hills densely forested with Rhododendron flowers.


In Spring, the forest reddens with Rhododendron flowers and gives the impression that the whole forest is in fire. Daman, situated in an altitude of 2400m, claims to have the sight of Mount Everest on a clear weather day.
Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 12: Daman - Kathmandu
In the morning you will proceed for Kathmandu and on arrival check-in into the hotel.
Rest of the afternoon is free to explore local animated market.
Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Excursion to Nagarkot
Early morning trip rewards you with excellent Sunrise view over the Himalayan Panorama.
Later return to Kathmandu for over stay at your hotel.


Day 14: Kathmandu Departure
In the morning as per scheduled you will be transferred to International airport to board flight for onward Journey.
