Day 01: Arrive Mumbai
On your arrival at Mumbai airport, transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.
Mumbai is an industrial metropolis as well as the textile and film capital of the country. It was once a cluster of 7 islands. Bombay was ceded to the Portuguese by the local ruler in the 16th Century. Later, it was acquired by the English when it was given as a dowry to King Charles II when he married a Portuguese princess. Today cosmopolitan Bombay is a commercial nerve centre apart from being one of India’s busiest ports.
Day 02: In Mumbai
Morning we take a half-day excursion to the Elephanta Caves.
Elephanta is a 3 kms long elongated island, consisting of two hills separated by a valley. See Shiva in his three-headed aspect: as Creator (facing right), Protector (the crowned face at the center), and Destroyer (facing left, with serpents for hair). Also visit to Shiva bringing the Ganges River down to Earth.
Afternoon take the Half day tour Mumbai.
Visit the Juhu Beach, Gateway of India, Victoria Terminus, Prince of Wales Museum, Drive past the “Towers of Silence”, Kamla Nehru Park and Hanging Gardens situated on the slope of Malabar Hill offering a panoramic view of Marine Drive and Chowpatty Beach. Drive through local animated Crawford market.
Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Mumbai - Baroda - Chhota Udaipur
Transfer to airport to connect flight to Barod and on arrival straight drive to Chhota Udaipur.
Arrive and check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.
Later proceed for villages to see the Rathawa Traibes.
Visit Rathwa tribes in and around the region. It is considered one of most primitive tribal belt of Gujarat. After an early lunch drive by jeep to the tribal villages like Kol, Kharakwada, Timla, Devhat.
Late evening return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04: In Chhota Udaipur
Morning proceed to tribal museum of Chhota Udaipur and later on drive to nearby village to visit HAAT, a mobile market where we can see many tribal people who comes to haat.
In the afternoon,
Later proceed to visit couple of more villages of tribal to see PITHORA wall paintings in their houses. Late evening return to Palace.

Day 05: Chhota Udaipur – Baroda
Morning drive to Baroda en route visiting Champaner fort
Champaner fort of Pawagadh built in 15th century by the Sultan of Ahmedabad Mehmud. Begadha, Nagina and Jami mosques are the most beautiful specimen of Indo saracenic architecture. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Later visit of couple of museums of Baroda. It was one of princely state of Gujarat ruled by Maratha Gaekwad.
Stay overnight at your hotel.
Day 06: Baroda – Ahmedabad
Morning departure to Ahmedabad en route visiting Vaso village,
Vaso village famous for its intricate wooden carved Havelies of 18th Cent.
On arrival, check-in at the hotel and later proceed to visit one of the finest textile museums of the world. And visit the Gandhi Ashram.
Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Ahmedabad is city of Ahmed Shah (the medieval ruler of Gujarat) known for its rich past and its association with Mahatma Gandhi the father of Nation. And city offers a unique style of architecture, which is a blend of Hindu and Islamic styles (Indo-Saracenic style of architecture) is today, known as the Manchester of the East, because of its once booming textile industry and being one of the highly industrialized cities in India, also known as India's Textile City. This city was originally built on the banks of the river Sabarmati, but it has expanded since.
Day 07: In Ahmedabad
Morning proceed for city sightseeing tour.
Visiting the fascinating poles of old city with beautiful wooden carved houses and one of the most colourful temple of city Swaminarayan temple built in late 19th century. Onwards visit of Jami mosque, ,Rani Rupmati Mosque ,and Calico Museum.
Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Ahmedabad – Poshina
Morning proceed to Poshina and on arrival check-in into the hotel.
Later visit of tribal villages around Poshina is a centre to see Garacia tribal.
After noon, second safari to the tribal villages located in the Aravali hills.
Late evening return to Darbargadh, for overnight stay.
Day 09: Poshina – Zainabad
Morning you will drive to Zainabad en route visiting Patan and Modhera.
Anhilwad Patan was the capital of Gujarat it is only a place in Gujarat where one can see the double Ikat patola saree. Onward proceed to Modhera to visit Sun temple, the best example of Hindu architecture.
Visit drive to the base camp of Zainabad.
On arrival check-in into the camp. Stay overnight at the camp.
Day 10: Zainabad - Rann of Kutch
Morning you will take safari in little Rann of Kutch to see the Asiatic wild asses and around 275 various species of birds.
You also have opportunity to experience Bajana tribes and some cattle breeders. At 12.30, return to the camp and have lunch. At 15.30, second drive to the little Rann of Kutch.
Late evening return to the camp, overnight at camp.
Day 11: Rann of Kutch - Ahmedabad – Mumbai - Bhubaneswar
In early morning you will proceed for Ahmedabad and on arrival straight drive to airport to take a flight Mumbai. After reaching at Mumbai take a connecting flight to Bhubaneshwar an don arrival met and transfer to the hotel.
Bhubaneswar - the temple city of India. Once the capital of ancient Kalinga, the city has a long history & is today a bustling centre for commerce & religious activity. These temples are unique in themselves, not only in their architectural beauty but also in the wonderful sculptures. These temples epitomize a comprehensive history of Orissan style of temple architecture from its very inception to perfection spreading almost to 2000 years from 3rd century BC to 16th Century AD. Today this bustling centre of commerce and religion is Orissa's modern capital.
Day 12: Bhubaneswar - Puri
In the morning you will proceed for Temple visit of the city
Visiting Lord Shiva Lingaraja Temple, the 11th century temple of Bhubaneswar has been described as "truest fusion of dream & reality." A rare masterpiece, the temple has been rated one of the finest examples of purely Hindu temple. Every inch of the 55 m-high Lingaraja temple is covered with elaborate carvings. Sculpture & architecture fused elegantly to create a perfect harmony. Next we visit Mukteshwara Temple, a 7th-8th century AD is one of the most ornate temples in Bhubaneswar. The intricate carvings of the deities stand testimony to the influence of Hindu, Buddha & Jain style of architecture.
We also visit Parashurameshwara Temple, a small but richly decorated shrine of Shiva that was built in the 7th century. It is one of the best examples of the Orissa style of temple architecture.
Late afternoon drive to Puri and on arrival proceed for Temple tour of Puri
Puri is one of the four holiest points of pilgrimage for Hindus. The reigning deity of the city, Lord Jagannath, whose temple was built way back in the 12th century, is revered by thousands of pilgrims from all over the country. The other important feature of Puri is its beautiful beach, which has offered pleasure to both pilgrims and swimmers for centuries. It is one of the most delightful white beaches in the country.
Day 13: Puri – Konark – Puri
In the morning you will proceed for a visit to the world famous Jagannath Puri Temple.
Later proceed to visit the famous Sun Temple of Konark.
Konark is the glorious 13th century Konark Temple, dedicated to the sun god (Surya), has been designated as an UNESCO World Heritage Monument. The temple, conceived as a massive chariot, hauling the sun god across the heavens by the might of seven splendidly carved horses, standing aloft on 24 chariot wheels intricately carved and symbolizing the march of time, lies in partial ruin at Konark beach.
Return to Puri and stay overnight at hotel.
Day 14: Puri - Bhubaneswar - Kolkata
In the morning you will proceed for Bhubaneswar airport to connect flight for Kolkata, on arrival transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 15: Kolkata Departure
In the morning as per schedule you will be transferred to international airport to board flight for your onward journey. |
