Day 01: Arrive Paro
Arrive at Paro International airport by druk air and on arrival at Paro International Airport, you will met and proceed for Thimpu by surface and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.
Paro one of Bhutan's most impressive and well-known Dzong, and the finest example of Bhutanese architecture. The inward-sloping walls form a massive structure that towers over the town and is visible as a great white monolith from vantage points throughout the valley.
On the way to Thimphu visit, Tamchhog Lhakhang which is located on the opposite side of the river. This is a temple built by Thang Thong Gyalpo of Tibet.
Hand Made Paper Factory: Jungshi Paper Factory was established in November 1990 as an undertaking of the Royal Government of Bhutan.
Tashichho Dzong: The "Fortress of the glorious religion" houses the throne room of His Majesty the King, the main secretariat building and the central monk body.
Mini Zoo: Here you can see just one animal: Bhutan's national: the Taking. This is an extremely rare member of the goat family. Found in herds in the very high altitudes.
Sangaygang view point: As well as being the location of the transmitter tower of the only national television tower in the country (BBS), the view point is also the perfect place to take in some truly breathtaking views of the entire city of Thimpu.
Day 02: In Thimphu
Morning visit, the weekend market: We can see people from all walks of Bhutanese society who come to buy fresh produce. During weekends we can also see the archery match at the Changlimithang ground. Archery is the national game of Bhutan.
Morning take a hike to Cheri Monastery (Includes Dodina and Jigme Dorji Wild life Sanctuary): Hike about 2hrs leds to Cheri Goemba (Cheri Dorji Dhen).
The trail starts by crossing a lovely covered bridge that spans the Wang Chu, and then climbs to the monastery.
Later you can relax and stroll around the city.
Evening with Raven: Includes Night in "down town Thimphu, Evening Meal with music and dancing.
Day 03: In Thimphu
Morning visit, Memorial Chorten: This particular chorten was constructed in 1974 as a memorial for the third King of the country, King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, who is widely regarded as the father of modern Bhutan.
Zorig Chusum Institute: 13 traditional arts and crafts. It was established in 1971 by the Royal Government in order to preserve the invaluable heritage and promote the arts of Bhutan.
Textile museum: The foundation was laid in 2000 under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen Ashi Sangay Choden Wangchuck. It was established with the aim of preserving and promoting Bhutanese textile arts.
Thangtong Dewachen it was founded in 1976 by Rikey Jadrel, who is considered as emanation of Than thong Gyalpo (1363 / 1485), the builder of numerous iron chain bridges across the Himalayas.

Day 04: Thimphu - Trongsa
In the morning drive to Trongsa and on arrival check-in into the hotel.
Driving towards Trongsa(6 Hrs/30 min), we come across a pass known as Dochula from where a beautiful panoramic view of the Himalayan mountain range can be seen, especially in clear winter days. The beauty of this place is further enhanced by the Druk Wangyal Chortens...
On the way to Trongsa visit, Wangdue Town: Wangdue has a unique town to look around with small huts by the side of the road.
Wangdue Phodrang Dzong was founded in 1638 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel.

Day 05: Trongsa - Bumthang
Morning visit, Trongsa Dzong: Trongsa used to be the winter capital of the Bhutan before Thimpu and its Dzong is one of the most impressive in the country indeed, it provided the seat of power for both the first and the second Kings of Bhutan.
Later visit, Chakhar (Iron Castle) Lhakhang - It is the site of the palace of the Indian King, the Sindhu Raja who invited Guru Rimpoche to Bumthang
Jakar Dzong- the Dzong was initially built as a monastery in 1549 by the great grand father of the Zhabdrung.

Day 06: In Bumthang
Morning visit, Kurjey Lhakhang: Means body print. It dates back to 8th century when Guru Rimpoche first visited Bhutan.
Tamzing Lhakhang: "Temple of good message". It was built by Terton Pema Lingpa (Treasure Discoverer) in 1501AD...
Kenchosum Lhakhang: Its establishment dates back to 7 th century.
Mebar Tsho (Lake of Burning Fire): This is a sacred lake for Bhutanese who believe that Pema Lingpa discovered religious treasures from this lake in the 12 th century.
Ura Village: Ura lies in the Tang valley, a one and a half hour drive from Bumthang town. The drive is mainly through sheep pastures and along the way one can glimpse a magnificent view of Mount Gangkhar Phuensum from Ura La (Pass).
Later stroll around the town and see how locals live.

Day 07: Bumthang - Gangtey
Morning drive to Gangtey valley (5 Hrs)
Later visit, Gangtey Goenpa: This is an old monastery that dates back to the 17 th century.

Day 08: Gangtey - Punakha
In the morning visit, Black Necked Crane Observation Centre.
Then hike around the Gangtey valley taking pictures of cranes around the fields (1 hrs hike)
Later drive back to Punakha for overnight stay.
Day 09: In Punakha
Morning hike to Kham Sum Yule Lahkahang: It was built by HRH Azhi (Queen) Tshering Pem Wangchuck for a successful rule during the reign of the present King.
Punakha Dzong: Remarkable for its ability to withstand natural disasters fires and earthquakes have done nothing to diminish its grandeur the Punakha Dzong is rightly famous throughout Bhutan, as well as being one of the most well protected buildings in the country.
Chimi Lhakhang: This Temple was built by lam Drukpa Kuenley (The Divine Madman) in 1499. It is about thirty minutes hike across fields from the road: a welcome chance to stretch your legs after the drive. His style of teaching was thought shocking, insulting and including obscene behavior.

Day 10: Punakha - Paro
Morning you will drive to Paro Valley.
Ta Dzong: This means watch tower, which it served as during the 17th century to guard the region from the Tibetan invasion. It was converted to the National Museum in 1968. It houses a fine collection of Bhutanese art, relics, and religious.
Kichu Lhakhang: It is one of the two most sacred and the oldest temples in Bhutan. It was built in 7th century by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo.
Rimpung Dzong: Means fortress of the heap of jewels. It was built during the time of Zhabdrung (deeply revered to this day as dynamic political and spiritual leader) in 1644.

Day 11: In Paro
Morning you will take a hike to Taktshang Monastery Generally regarded as Bhutan's most recognizable cultural icon, the Taktshang Monastery.
Tiger's Nest is strikingly iconic of the country's culture and traditions.
Farmhouse: A chance to see the inside of such a home, rather than just the brightly decorated exteriors and to taste the local cuisine...
Later stroll around the town and see how locals live.

In the morning as per scheduled you will be transferred to airport to board flight for onward Journey. |
