Day 01: Delhi Arrival
On your arrival at international airport, transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.
Delhi, India’s modern capital is also an ancient city tracing its origins in legend. It is dotted with hundreds of landmarks and offers more than a millennium of history in stone. From here various Hindu and Muslim dynasties including the Mughals ruled India. When British administration moved to Delhi and New Delhi became the Capital of India once again.
Day 02: In Delhi
Morning take the Half day tour of New Delhi.
Visiting Qutub Minar, One of the fine examples of early afghan architecture, Humayun Tomb, built by the wife of Humayun, Haji Begum in the mid 16th century, this red sand stone structure is considered to be the predecessor of Taj Mahal. Drive pass by India Gate (A War memorial) and Presidency House.
Afternoon take Half day tour of old Delhi.
Old Delhi tour includes the drive pass to Red fort. Jama Masjid, Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and completed in the year 1656 AD, it is one of the largest and best-known mosques, and later enjoy cycle rickshaw ride with in Chandani Chowk market.

Day 03: Delhi – Jaipur (260 Kms / 6 Hrs.)
Morning proceed for Jaipur by surface, on arrival check–in into your hotel. Rest of day you are free for independent activities.
An epic in red sandstone; a city of yesteryears today lost in the mists of time. A sonless Akbar had gone to Sikri to seek blessings of a Muslim saint Sheikh Salim Chishti. When his son was finally born, he in gratitude constructed his capital city and named it Fatehpur Sikri. Later Fatehpur Sikri is also known as Abandoned Capital of Mughal Empire.
Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 04: In Jaipur
Morning proceed for the city tour of Jaipur.
Visit to the Amber Fort - the ancient capital of the State, and the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors.
Amber was the capital of the Kachhwaha clan, till Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727. Situated on a crafty hill, is the royal elephant ride to ascend the fort (depending upon the availability else by jeep). Later stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace) for photography. Hawa Mahal was built in 1799, its original intention was to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life in the street below without being seen.
Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Jaipur - Ranthambore
Morning proceed for Ranthambore by surface, and on arrival check-in into hotel.
After lunch, take a first jeep safari to Ranthambore National Park to view wild life & bird species. Arrive back to the resort in the evening.
Ranthambore Fort is a formidable fort and has been a focal point of historical developments of Rajasthan. It is surrounded the famous Ranthambore National Park which was formerly the hunting grounds for the Maharajahs of Jaipur.
Stay overnight at the resort.
Day 06: In Ranthambore
After tea / coffee, early morning proceed for second jeep safari to the park with packed breakfast, later visit The Ganesh Temple and The Ranthambore Fort is an impressive historic monument spreads over an area of 7 Km and offers spectacular views of the National Park Ranthambore.
Evening proceed for Third Jeep safari to Ranthambhore National Park to view the wild life & bird species.
Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 07: Ranthambore - Bharatpur – Agra
In time transfer to Swai Madhopur railway station to board train for Bharatpur. On arrival at Bharatpur railway station directly drive for Keoladeo National Park.
Enjoy a day inside the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary on a cycle rickshaw. Have a picnic, lunch in the Reserve itself.
Later depart for Agra and en route visit the walled city of Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri is 40 Kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces.
Later continue drive to Agra, and on arrival check-in into hotel overnight spend at the hotel.
Agra is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World-the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendour of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid remainder of the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries. A pleasant town with comparatively slow pace, The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes. Agra was once the capital of the Mughal Empire.
Day 08: Agra - Khajuraho
Morning half day city tour of Agra.
Visiting the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Also visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father.
Later in time transfer to railway station to board train for Jhansi, and on arrival at Jhansi drive to Khajuraho and on arrival at Khajuraho, check–in into hotel for overnight stay.
Khajuraho has the largest group of medieval Hindu and Jain temples, famous for their erotic sculpture. The name Khajuraho is derived from the Hindi word khajur meaning date palm. The capital of the Chandela Kings, Khajuraho is famous for its magnificent temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and the Jain Tirthankaras. And temple are influenced by tantrism, in eroticism becomes a theme of philosophical interest and the aim is submlimation of sexual relationship in the sexual act or "Maithun", women being regarded as the incarnation of the divine energy or "Shakti". Itis also possible thatthe Khajuraho were influenced by "Kama Sutra".

Visiting western and eastern group of Temples form Chandela Dynasty, A few of the temples are dedicated to the Jain pantheon and the rest to Hindu deities - to God's Trio, among them the Kandariya Mahadeo, Chaunsat Yogini, Chitragupta temple, adinath Temples,Vishwanath temple, andvarious other temples.
Day 09: Khajuraho – Bandhavgarh
Morning proceed for Bandhavgarh by surface, on arrival check-in into the resort.
Afternoon proceed for 01st Jeep safari to national Park [Elephant ride included; depending upon the availability]. Rest of the day you will at leisure.
Bandhavgarh has a very high density of tigers within the folds of its jungles. The 105 km² of park area open for tourist was reported to have 22 Tigers, a density of one tiger for every 4.77 km². There is a saying about the Park that goes: “In any other Park, You are lucky if you see a tiger. In Bandhavgarh, you are unlucky if you don't see (at least) one”. With the tiger at the apex of the food chain, it contains 37 species of mammals, more than 250 species of birds, about 70 species of butterflies, a number of reptiles. The forest, tree-covered hills, archaeological remains and a variety of wildlife make the park an enchanting place.

Day 10: In Bandhavgarh
Morning take a first jeep safari to Bandhavgarh National Park. Arrive back to the resort in for Lunch.
Evening take a second jeep safari to Bandhavgarh National Park. Arrive back to the resort in evening.

Day 11: Bandhavgarh - Kanha
Morning proceed for Kanha by surface, on arrival check-in into the resort.
Kanha National Park was created on 1 June 1955. Today it stretches over an area of 940 km². There is a large tiger population in the par. One can also find Leopards, the Sloth Bear and Indian Wild Dog. Very rarely seen are the Indian wolves which live in the far east of the park. The most abundant prey species for the large predators is the Spotted Deer or Chital, which number are estimated to about 20000 in the park. The second largest population of deer is that of Sambar (Cervus Unicolor) which constitutes an important prey base of the tiger. Other commonly observed mammals include the common Grey Langur, Wild Boar, Gaur, Sambar and Barasingha or swamp deer (this is the hard ground swamp deer found only in Kanha, barely 1200 survive in the wild).
Evening take second jeep safari to Kanha National Park. Arrive back to the resort in evening.
Stay overnight at a wildlife resort.
Day 12: Kanha – Nagpur (250 Kms / 06 Hrs)
Morning jungle visit in the park. Afternoon you will drive to Nagpur, on arrival check-in into resort.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Nagpur - Delhi/Onward Destination
Early morning take a first jeep safari to Park. Arrive back to the resort in for Lunch.
Later in time catch the flight from Nagpur to Delhi in the morning. room for day use. Transfer to the airport for your connecting flight to the onward destination. |
