Day 01: Arrive Delhi

On arrival meet, assistance transfer to hotel for Overnight stay.

Delhi, India’s modern capital is also an ancient city tracing its origins in legend.  It is dotted with hundreds of landmarks and offers more than a millennium of history in stone.  From here various Hindu and Muslim dynasties including the Mughals ruled India. When British administration moved to Delhi and New Delhi became the Capital of India once again.

 

Day 02: Delhi - Amritsar
Full day take the tour of New Delhi & Old Delhi.

Morning proceed for sightseeing of New Delhi,  Visit Qutub Minar, One of the fine examples of early afghan architecture, Humayun Tomb, built by the wife of Humayun, Haji Begum in the mid 16th century, this red sand stone structure is considered to be the predecessor of Taj Mahal.  Drive pass by India Gate (A War memorial) and Presidency House.


Afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Old Delhi, include the drive past to Red Fort, visit to Jama Masjid, Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and completed in the year 1656 AD, it is one of the largest and best-known mosques, and later enjoy cycle rickshaw ride within Chandani Chowk market.

In time transfer to railway station to board train for Amritsar, and on arrive transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.

Around the Golden Temple, the holy city of Amritsar came into being. Guru Ram Das the successor go Guru Amar Das, came to live near this tranquil and peaceful site,  and started building the pilgrimage centre around the small pool, (later to become the Sarowar) which had initially drawn Guru Amar Das. The Jallianwala Bagh is a memorial of the martyrs of the 1919 massacre by the British General Dyer. the well into which the crowds jumped to escape the murderous hail of bullets and a simple memorial at the site that shaped India's destiny.

 

Day 03: In Amritsar

Morning visit the city,


Visit Golden Temple (Darbar Sahib), situated in Amritsar, Punjab is the most sacred temple for Sikhs. It is a symbol of the magnificence and strength of the Sikh people all over the world. In the evolution of the Darbar Sahib, is entwined the history and ideology of Sikhism. In its architecture are included, symbols associated with other places of worship.


Evening an excursion to Wagah Border,


Wagah Border is between India and Pakistan, where you can view the ceremonial changing of the guard at dusk. Be in your seat just half an hour before sunset. Make sure you have a grandstand view of the high- stepping guards as they go through the immaculately contrived nightly parade of closing the border and ceremonial lowering of the flags.
Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 04: Amritsar – Dharamsala (220 Kms / 6:30 Hrs)

Morning depart Amritsar for Dharamsala, and on arrival check-in at hotel.

 

Over looking the plains and is surrounded by dense pine trees and Deodar forests. A busy bazaar town, Dharamsala has established itself as the traveler’s base camp, which come to explore the nearby mountains. The Kotwali Bazaar provides the entire colour and characteristic of a small town, which is mixed with the simple life style. The colourful temple and Gompas, which reflect the culture of Tibet, adds attraction for the visitor. The Kangra museum gives an overview of the rich past of the region and on the other hand there are institutes that have been established to preserve the Tibetan art, cultures and traditions.

Day 05: In Dharamsala

Full day take city tour

 

Morning visit Norbulingka, an institute for the preservation for treadition Tibetan arts and crafts. Also visit the Kangra Art museum which exhibits painting from the Kangra school of Miniature Paintings, sculptures, tribal and ornaments and photograph of the local monuments. Afternoon visit the Tibetan institute of the performing Arts founded in 1959 by holiness of the Dalai Lama to preserve traditional Tibetan art froms in music, dance and theatre.

 

Later visit Tsuglkhang or HH Dalai Lama’s temple, Bhasu nag waterfall. Walk around market in the evening.

Day 06: Dharamsala - Manali (235 Km / 7 Hrs)

Morning proceed to Manali and on arrival check-in into the hotel with rest of day at leisure.

Day 07: In Manali

Full day visit the Temple And Monasteries,

 

Visit places like Manu Temple, Vashist Temple, and Hadimba Devi Temple, A glance of Himachali Articture, Van Vihar and Monastery.

Evening you will free to walk around the Mall Road.

 

Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 08: Manali – Shimla
After breakfast at hotel, proceed for Shimla by surface and on arrival check-in into the hotel.

 

The summer capital of the British in India, this was the country's focus for the better part of every year and now, it is the state capital of Himachal Pradesh. Today, its well developed facilities, easy accessibility and numerous attractions make it one of India's most popular hill resorts. Places in the lower ranges of the Himalaya Mountains, it is surrounded by pine, deodar, oak and rhododendron forests. Within the town are a host of splendid colonial edifices, quaint cottages and charming walks.

Day 09: In Shimla

Morning a sightseeing tour of Kufri, attractions are the Himalayan Nature Park, and the exciting trek and horse rides that leads to the divine Mahasu peak, Jakku Temple and Shimla Visit Sankat Mochan, The Mall, and The Ridge.

Stay overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 10: Shimla – Chandigarh (120 Kms / 4 Hrs.)
After leisurely morning depart Shimla for Chandigarh, on arrival check-in into the hotel.


Chandigarh as this is one of the most modern cities in the country. A most important site in the city is the Rock Garden, the place that has been captured by millions of cameras. Rose Garden is another important landmark and a part of Leisure Valley, a garland of gardens that ornaments the city. Government Museum and Art Gallery displays some important stone sculptures of ancient India.
Afternoon you will take visit to the Rose garden and Nekchand’s garden.

Day 11: Chandigarh - Delhi
Morning proceed to Delhi. The afternoon is free for you to explore the city on your own.
Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 12: Depart Delhi
Later transfer to the International Airport for flight to onward destination.
