Day 01: Arrival in Mumbai

On your arrival at Mumbai airport, transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.

Mumbai is an industrial metropolis as well as the textile and film capital of the country. It was once a cluster of 7 islands. Bombay was ceded to the Portugese by the local ruler in the 16th Century.  Later, it was acquired by the English when it was given as a dowry to King Charles II when he married a Portuguese princess.  Today cosmopolitan Bombay is a commercial nerve centre apart from being one of India’s busiest ports.

Day 02: In Mumbai

Morning we take a half-day excursion to the Elephanta Caves
.

Elephanta is a 3 kms long elongated island, consisting of two hills separated by a valley.  See Shiva in his three-headed aspect: as Creator (facing right), Protector (the crowned face at the center), and Destroyer (facing left, with serpents for hair). Also visit to Shiva bringing the Ganges River down to Earth.

Afternoon take the Half day tour Mumbai

Visit the Juhu Beach, Gateway of India, Victoria Terminus, Prince of Wales Museum, Drive past the “Towers of Silence”, Kamla Nehru Park and Hanging Gardens situated on the slope of Malabar Hill offering a panoramic view of Marine Drive and Chowpatty Beach. Drive through local animated Crawford market.

Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Mumbai – Cochin
In time you will transfer to airport to board flight for Cochin and on arrival check-in into the hotel.

One of the finest natural harbors on the Arabian Sea coast, Kochi, earlier known as Cochin, has been a port of all for foreign traders from early times. The city of peninsulas and islands, today it is Kerala’s commercial hub .Chinese Fishing Nets at the entrance of Cochin harbor are a fascinating sight.  Bolgatty Island houses Bolgatty Island built by the Dutch in 1774, which is former residence of the British Resident of Kochi. The Portuguese led by Vasco Da Gama arrived in 1502 and later the Dutch and the British.  And descendants of the Jews who arrived in ancient days

Morning take Half day tour Cochin.

Visiting Fort Cochin, proceed on a sight seeing tour to attractions such as the Dutch Palace, Chinese Fishing Nets named after the country of their origin. Jewish Synagogue,  in Mattancherry was built in 1568 and rebuilt in 1664 with Chinese willow-patterned tiles and gold crowns and has ancient scrolls,  Mattancherry Palace,  See St. Francis Church, the first European Church in India, where Vasco Da Gama was buried until his remains were taken back to Portugal, and Fort Cochin. Visit the Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese in 1510 and later taken over by the Dutch.

A boat cruise in the backwaters takes you in the midst of a lush green setting of shady lagoons, wooded islands and canals.

Relax in the afternoon and spend time at leisure.

Day 04: Cochin - Marari Beach Resort (Ayurveda Center)

Morning drive to the Ayurveda centre at Marari Beach Resort and  arrival at Ayurveda centre and after a short break, meeting with the Resort 's Ayurveda doctors for a long interactive session, during which they would like to know all the detailed aspects about your lifestyle, food habits, working habits and other specific body ailments, if any, etc.

Afternoon you are free for the Body massages

Body massages is done with medicated oils as per the conditions of the individual for 60 - 90 minutes. This is intended to rejuvenate body and mind, to tone the skin, increase circulation.

Day 05: In Marari Beach
Full day you are free for the Pizhichil Body massages

Pizhichil - It is a special massage done by two persons and is a Sudation as well as a Oelation Therapy. About 4 - 5 liters of lukewarm medicated oil, selected according to body constitution and illness is squeezed from a cloth over the body continuously for about 45 - 60 minutes for three days. This treatment tones up the body, increases circulation, nourishes the muscular and nervous system and expels the metabolic wastes through the skin.

Day 06 to 08: In Marari Beach
Full day you are free for the Njavarakizhi Body massages

Njavarakizhi - It is a cotton bag massage performed with a bag filled with "njavara" rice, cooked in milk and herbal decoctions. This is a nourishing treatment and is indicated in all types of neurological and arthritic complaints.
Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 08: Ayurveda Center – House boat
Morning drive to Jetty to board houseboat

Your personal cook will serve you the fresh catch of the day with pleasure. Your house-boat can anchor at any place of your choice and you can take a short stroll on the banks of the backwater canals of your choice amidst swaying palms and chirping birds.

Stay overnight at Houseboat.

Day 09: House boat - Cochin
Morning farewell to your boat and it's crew, drive back to Cochin and on arrival check-in into your hotel.
Evening enjoy a live performance of the local classical Kathakali dance.

Day 10: Cochin – Mumbai - Depart
Morning proceed for Cochin airport to board flight for Mumbai.
After reaching the airport of Mumbai take the connecting flight to your onward destination.
