It is often said India is continent of different people, culture, language, colure, religion from the any part of the world, country is different from snowcapped mountains to sun-washed beaches, crusty old bazaars to chichi designer boutiques, tranquil temples to feisty festivals, ramshackle rural villages to techno-savvy urban hubs - it’s hardly surprising that India is also an continent not a country.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
On arrival at International airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel for overnight stay.

 

Delhi, India’s modern capital is also an ancient city tracing its origins in legend.  It is dotted with hundreds of landmarks and offers more than a millennium of history in stone.  From here various Hindu and Muslim dynasties including the Mughals ruled India. When British administration moved to Delhi and New Delhi became the Capital of India once again.


Day 02: In Delhi
Full day take the tour of New Delhi & Old Delhi.


Morning proceed for sightseeing of New Delhi,  Visit Qutub Minar, One of the fine examples of early afghan architecture, Humayun Tomb, built by the wife of Humayun, Haji Begum in the mid 16th century, this red sand stone structure is considered to be the predecessor of Taj Mahal.  Drive pass by India Gate (A War memorial) and Presidency House.

Afternoon proceed for sightseeing of Old Delhi, include the drive past to Red Fort, visit to Jama Masjid, Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and completed in the year 1656 AD, it is one of the largest and best-known mosques, and later enjoy cycle rickshaw ride within Chandani Chowk market.

Day 03: Delhi - Agra (205 Kms /04:30 Hrs)
After breakfast at hotel, proceed to Agra en route visit Sikandra.


Akbar's tomb at Sikandra has a large arched entrance and green lawns, The entrance is decorated with marble inlay work around the arch, and the inner surface of the dome of the tomb is decorated with images of flowers, geometric designs and Islamic calligraphy.


After visit Sikandra continue proceed for Agra and on arrival check-in into hotel.

Agra is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World-the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendour of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid remainder of the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries. A pleasant town with comparatively slow pace, The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes. Agra was once the capital of the Mughal Empire.

Half day city tour of Agra,


Visiting Taj Mahal, the monument of love built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in sweet memory of his wife after she died in 1631. Later visit the Agra Fort, this was built by Emperor Akbar in 1565. And Itimid-ud-Daulah Tomb, which is also known as Mini Taj because of its resemblance; however it was built before the Taj Mahal.

Day 04: Agra - Jhansi - Khajuraho
After breakfast at hotel, assistance and transfer to Agra Cantt railway station to board train for Jhansi and on arrival proceed to Khajuraho by surface.


Khajuraho has the largest group of medieval Hindu and Jain temples, famous for their erotic sculpture. The name Khajuraho is derived from the Hindi word khajur meaning date palm. The capital of the Chandela Kings, Khajuraho is famous for its magnificent temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and the Jain Tirthankaras. And temple are influenced by tantrism, in eroticism becomes a theme of philosophical interest and the aim is submlimation of sexual relationship in the sexual act or "Maithun", women being regarded as the incarnation of the divine energy or "Shakti". Itis also possible thatthe Khajuraho were influenced by "Kama Sutra".


On arrival at Khajuraho check-in into hotel and later temple visit of Khajuraho

 

Visiting western and eastern group of Temples form Chandela Dynasty, A few of the temples are dedicated to the Jain pantheon and the rest to Hindu deities - to God's Trio, among them the Kandariya Mahadeo, Chaunsat Yogini, Chitragupta temple, adinath Temples,Vishwanath temple, andvarious other temples.

Day 05: Khajuraho – Orcha
Morning drive to Orcha and on arrival check-in into the hotel.


Orchha showcases the rich heritage of medieval times. This exotic city, with garish monuments and majestic temples makes it picturesquely bobbling and fascinating was founded in the 16th century. Orchha's grandeur has been captured in stone, frozen in time, a rich legacy to the ages with its striking forts, regal palaces, poetry carved temples and chhatris, and the city presents a matchless spectacle and is a delightful place for photographers. And the city is also known for its world class Mural Paintings, graceful monument which displays unique and exclusive architectural grandeur.

Visiting the fort is reached by an arched bridge and the three palaces set in an open courtyard within the fort are the first buildings to explore. Next visit Temples to the Ram Raja Mandir was originally a palace and became a temple more by accident than design. An image of Ram was installed while the temple, The Chaturbhuj was being built for it.  For some reason the image could not be moved from the palace and despite its spires and ornate decoration became a sacred place.

Day 06: Orcha  - Jhansi - Bhopal – Sanchi (46 Kms /02 Hrs)
Morning drive to Jhansi railway station to board train for Bhopal and on arrival at Bhopal drive for Sanchi en route visit pre historic cave paintings.


Sanchi is a serene hill crowned by a group of stupas, monasteries, temples and pillars dating from 3rd century BC to 12th century AD. These experienced in its complex structures where many Buddhist legends found expression in the rich sculpture. The lotus represents the Buddha's birth, the tree signifies his enlightenment, and the wheel represents his nirvana or salvation.

On arrival at Sanchi check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.


Day 07: In Sanchi
Morning you will visit to Stupas of Sanchi.


The Great Stupas a massive hemispherical dome is one of the oldest stone structures in India and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Ashoka Pillar erected during 3rd century BC.Gateways of Sanchi, Buddhist Vihara enshrines the sacred relics of the Satdhara Stupa and Gupta Temple.

 

Afternoon depart on a return excursion to Udaigiri Caves and the ancient city of Vidisha.
Retire to hotel for overnight stay.


Day 08: Sanchi – Ujjain – Indore
Morning drive to Indore by surface en route visit to Ujjain one the famous temple dedicated to Lord Siva.later continue drive to Indore and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.


The city Indore is situated on the banks of two small rivers the Saraswati and the Khan and named after the 18th century temple of 'Indreshwar' or Sangamnath' Indore is rich historical tales and its contemporary pace, Indore remains a landmark city of Madhya Pradesh, and now days Indore is an important business and commercial centre of state Madhya Pradesh.

 

Day 09: In Indore

visit to Kanch Mandir - a shrine of the Digamber Jains has its walls, roof and the floor lavishly inland with the mother of pearl, glass, and multi - coloured beads, Chatri Bagh – the Chatri Bagh are the memorial tomb of the Holker Kings.hte largest and most impressive is the chatri of Malhar Rao Holkar I Palace that is Lavishly decorated with frescoes. The lal bagh palace is now a museum and the culture centre of with its dazzling treasure.

Day 10: Indore – Maheshwar (155 Kms / 4 Hrs)
Morning drive to Maheshwar visiting Omkareshwar en route and on arrival explore the city, late check in into hotel for overnight stay. Maheshwar is temple town on the banks of the river Narmada this town finds mention in the epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata. Today, Maheshwar is also known for its distinctive hand woven sarees.

Day 11: Maheshwar - Mandu (60 Kms / 02:30 Hrs)
Morning depart Maheshwar for Mandu by surface and on arrival check-in into hotel.


Mandu, with its natural defenses, was originally the fort capital Parmar rulers of Malwa before end of the 13th, it came under the sway of the Sultans of Malwa, and during this period the place came to be known as 'Shadiabad', which means 'City of Joy'. Each of Mandu's structures is an architectural grandeur some are outstanding like the massive Jami Masjid and Hoshang Shah's tomb, which provided inspiration to the master builders of the Taj Mahal centuries later.

 

Later sightseeing tour of the city

 

Visit to Jahaz Mahal (Ship Palace) build by Sultan Ghiyas-ud-din Khilji next the south of Jahaz Mahal Taveli Mahal and Hindola Mahal (Swing Palace) Champa Baoli, an elaborately constructed step-well, the place was so named as its waters were believed to smell like the 'Champa' flower.

Day 12: Mandu - Indore (98 Kms / 03 Hrs) – Delhi
In time transfer to Indore airport to board flight for Delhi and on arrival transfer to hotel for overnight stay.


Day 13: Depart Delhi
Later transfer to the International Airport for flight to onward destination.
