Place to visit: Delhi – Varanasi – Allahabad – Agra – Mathura – Delhi – Haridwar – Rishikesh – Delhi


Day 01: Arrive Delhi
On your arrival at International airport, transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.


Delhi, India’s modern capital is also an ancient city tracing its origins in legend.  It is dotted with hundreds of landmarks and offers more than a millennium of history in stone.  From here various Hindu and Muslim dynasties including the Mughals ruled India. When British administration moved to Delhi and New Delhi became the Capital of India once again.


Day 02: Delhi – Varanasi
Full day proceed for city sightseeing of Delhi


Morning visit Qutub Minar, one of the fine examples of early afghan architecture, Humayun Tomb - a red sand stone structure is considered to be the predecessor of Taj Mahal. India Gate (War Memorial Arch) and Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple, Also drive past Parliament House and Presidency House.


Afternoon visit Raj Ghat - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid, one of the largest and best-known mosques, and drive past Red Fort later enjoy cycle rickshaw ride within Chandani Chowk market.

At scheduled time departure transfer to railway station to board train for Varanasi.
Stay overnight in train.


Day 03:  Arrive Varanasi
Arrive Varanasi and transfer hotel.

Varanasi is the City Of Light, Religious and Spiritual, the land of Lord Shiva offers a breathtaking experience, and  is rich in Arts, Music, Dance & Literature and a centre for studying Astrology, Sanskrit, Yoga, Ayurveda. Varanasi is also renowned for art of silk weaving, an exotic work of  art  which  manifests  itself  in  precious  Banarasi Silk Sarees  and Silk brocades which are cherished as collector’s items across the world today.


Later proceed for sightseeing city tour Varanasi


Visit Kashi Vishwnath Temple, Kashi Vishwanath temple is one of the most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and is in the holy city of Varanasi. Tulsi Manas Temple, the Tulsi Manas temple is dedicated to lord Ram. It is believed to be built at the same place where Tulsidas wrote the famous Indian epic, Ramcharitamanasa. The walls of the Tulsi Manas temple are engraved with verses and scenes from the Ramcharitammanasa. Bharat Mata Temple; the Bharat Mata temple at Varanasi is the only temple dedicated to Mother India. The Bharat Mata temple was built by Babu Shiv Prasad Gupt and inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1936. Next visit   Banaras Hindu University which has an Art Gallery and the Mosque of Moghul Emperor Aurangazeb built on the site of an ancient Hindu Temple.

 

Evening visit to Sarnaath, Sarnath (also known as Mrigadava, Migadāya, Rishipattana, and Isipatana) is the deer park where Gautama Buddha first taught the Dharma, and where the Buddhist Sangha came into existence through the enlightenment of Kondanna. Sarnath is located 13 kilometers north-east of Varanasi. 


Day 04: Varanasi – Allahabad (125 Kms/03 Hrs)
Early morning boat ride on river Ganges, witness the panoramic view of Ganga and different Ghats. After return breakfast at hotel,
Later drive to Allahabad and on arrival and check-in to hotel.


 Afternoon tour of Allahabad - visit The Sangam, Maha Kumbh Mela (after every 12 years), Allahabad Fort, Patalpuri Temple, Ashoka Pillar, Akshaya Vat.
Stay overnight at hotel.


Day 05: Allahabad - Agra
in time transfer to railway station to connect overnight train to Agra and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.


Agra is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World-the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendour of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid remainder of the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries. A pleasant town with comparatively slow pace, The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes. Agra was once the capital of the Mughal Empire.


Day 06:  Agra - Delhi
Morning proceed for half day sightseeing tour to Agra

 

Visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Also visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father.
 
Later proceed for Delhi by surface and on arrival check-in to hotel for overnight stay.


Day 07: Delhi – Haridwar – Rishikesh (230 Kms/06 Hrs)
Morning depart by surface to Rishikesh drive approx. en-route visit Haridwar.


The list of attractions in Haridwar - Har-Ki-Pauri, the sacred ghat was constructed by King Vikramaditya in the memory of his brother Bhartrihari. The golden reflection of floral diyas in the river Ganges is the most enchanting sight in the twilight during the Ganga Aarti ceremony at the Ghat. The temple of Chandi Devi atop the Neel Parvat on the other bank of river Ganges was constructed in AD 1929 by Suchat Singh, the then King of Kashmir. The Chandi Devi Temple is now also accessible by a ropeway, which starts near the Gauri Shankar Temple. The temple atop the Bilwa Parvat is dedicated to Goddess Mansa Devi. One can have a panoramic view of Haridwar, the Ganges, and the countryside from this place.

After visit Haridwar you will continue drive to Rishikesh and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.


Rishikesh Known as the ‘Yoga capital of the world is the one of the holy city of India situated on bank of the river Ganges. There are a number of ashrams in and around Rishikesh, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Ashram is famous the world over for which the credit goes to the rock band Beatles. Several ashrams offer oga courses and many pilgrims from in and around the country come here to learn yoga.

 

Day 08: In Rishikesh
Morning proceed for the sightseeing tour of Rishikesh,


Visit Trivani Ghat, a bathing Ghat, where there streams of Ganga, Yamuna, Sarswati are said to flow together, and visit Bharat temple, and later you are free to visit the Laxman Jhula Laxman Jhoola  is beautiful sight,  Raghunathji temple and thirteen storey temple is the main attractions around jhoola.

Evening you will be free for Ganga arti at Trivani Ghat

Ganga arti is worship to holy river mother Ganga when pilgrims light a butter lamp with fresh flowers and offering to the Goddess, kept in a dry leaf and let it afloat over the holy river, this is certainly a touching moment to be at the bank of Ganges during this time.

Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 09: Rishikesh – Delhi (230 Kms / 06 Hrs)
Morning proceed for Delhi by surface and on arrival check-in into the hotel.
Rest of the day you will be free to explore local animated market.
Stay overnight at your hotel.


Day 10: Departure Delhi
In time you will transfer to international airport to connect flight for your onward journey.
