Day 01: Arrive Delhi
On your arrival at International airport, transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.
Delhi, India’s modern capital is also an ancient city tracing its origins in legend. It is dotted with hundreds of landmarks and offers more than a millennium of history in stone. From here various Hindu and Muslim dynasties including the Mughals ruled India. When British administration moved to Delhi and New Delhi became the Capital of India once again.
Day 02: In Delhi
Full day take the tour of New Delhi & Old Delhi.
Morning proceeds for sightseeing of New Delhi, Visit Qutub Minar; One of the fine examples of early afghan architecture, Humayun Tomb; built by the wife of Humayun, Haji Begum in the mid 16th century, this red sand stone structure is considered to be the predecessor of Taj Mahal. Drive pass by India Gate (A War memorial) and Presidency House.
Afternoon proceeds for sightseeing of Old Delhi, include the drive past to Red Fort, visit to Jama Masjid, Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and completed in the year 1656 AD, it is one of the largest and best-known mosques, and later enjoy cycle rickshaw ride within Chandani Chowk market.

Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur
Morning you will proceed to Jaipur, and on arrival at Jaipur, check in onto hotel for overnight stay.
In 1876 A.D. Jaipur dressed itself in pink to welcome Prince Albert, consort of Queen Victoria and earned the epitaph ‘PINK CITY', it is also a home of excellent handicrafts especially known for the exquisite gold jewellery enameled or inlaid with precious stones, blue pottery, carving on wood, stone & ivory, block print, tie & dye textiles, hand made paper, miniature painting etc.
Day 04: In Jaipur
Morning you will take full day city tour of Jaipur and Amber Fort.
Visiting Amber Fort, Amber was the capital of the Kachhwaha clan, till Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727. Situated on a crafty hill, is the royal elephant ride to ascend the fort (depending upon the availability else by jeep). Stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace) for photography. Hawa Mahal was built in 1799, its original intention was to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life in the street below without being seen.

Day 05: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri – Agra (240 Kms / 5 Hrs)
Drive to Agra, en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri is 40 Kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces.
Later continue drive to Agra and on arrival check-in into the hotel.
Agra is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World-the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendour of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid remainder of the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries. A pleasant town with comparatively slow pace, The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes. Agra was once the capital of the Mughal Empire.
Day 06: Agra – Varanasi
Morning you will proceed for half day sightseeing tour of Agra
Visiting the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Also visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father.
Later as per scheduled time you will be transferred to railway station to board on train for Varanasi.
Stay overnight in train.
Day 07: Arrive Varanasi
Morning arrive Varanasi and transfer to hotel
Varanasi is the City Of Light, Religious and Spiritual, the land of Lord Shiva offers a breathtaking experience, and is rich in Arts, Music, Dance & Literature and a centre for studying Astrology, Sanskrit, Yoga, Ayurveda. Varanasi is also renowned for art of silk weaving, an exotic work of art which manifests itself in precious Banarasi Silk Sarees and Silk brocades which are cherished as collector’s items across the world today.

Visit Kashi Vishwnath Temple, Kashi Vishwanath temple is one of the most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and is in the holy city of Varanasi. Tulsi Manas Temple, the Tulsi Manas temple is dedicated to lord Ram. It is believed to be built at the same place where Tulsidas wrote the famous Indian epic, Ramcharitamanasa. The walls of the Tulsi Manas temple are engraved with verses and scenes from the Ramcharitammanasa. Bharat Mata Temple; the Bharat Mata temple at Varanasi is the only temple dedicated to Mother India. The Bharat Mata temple was built by Babu Shiv Prasad Gupt and inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1936. Next visit Banaras Hindu University which has an Art Gallery and the Mosque of Moghul Emperor Aurangazeb built on the site of an ancient Hindu Temple.
Evening visit to Sarnaath, Sarnath (also known as Mrigadava, Migadāya, Rishipattana, and Isipatana) is the deer park where Gautama Buddha first taught the Dharma, and where the Buddhist Sangha came into existence through the enlightenment of Kondanna. Sarnath is located 13 kilometers north-east of Varanasi.
Day 08: In Varanasi (Banaras)
Early morning boat ride on river Ganges, witness the panoramic view of Ganga and different Ghats. After return breakfast at hotel,
Evening you will transfer to rail-station for Bhubaneshwar night train
stay overnight in train.
Day 09: Varanasi - Bhubaneshwar
Arrive Bhubaneshwar and transfer to hotel.
Bhubaneshwar - the temple city of India. Once the capital of ancient Kalinga, the city has a long history & is today a bustling centre for commerce & religious activity. These temples are unique in themselves, not only in their architectural beauty but also in the wonderful sculptures. These temples epitomize a comprehensive history of Orissan style of temple architecture from its very inception to perfection spreading almost to 2000 years from 3rd century BC to 16th Century AD. Today this bustling centre of commerce and religion is Orissa's modern capital.
Afternoon full day Temple visit
Visiting Lord Shiva Lingaraja Temple, the 11th century temple of Bhubaneswar has been described as "truest fusion of dream & reality." A rare masterpiece, the temple has been rated one of the finest examples of purely Hindu temple. Every inch of the 55 m-high Lingaraja temple is covered with elaborate carvings. Sculpture & architecture fused elegantly to create a perfect harmony , The Vital Deul-tantric temple located closeby Linagaraj Temple. also visit Mukteshwara Temple, a 7th-8th century AD is one of the most ornate temples in Bhubaneswar. The intricate carvings of the deities stand testimony to the influence of Hindu, Buddha & Jain style of architecture. later visit Parashurameshwara Temple, a small but richly decorated shrine of Shiva that was built in the 7th century. It is one of the best examples of the Orissa style of temple architecture.

Day 10: Bhubaneshwar - Puri
Morning proceed to Puri by surface via visiting Konark
Konark- The temple chariot of the Sun God on the sands of Bay of Bengal is a 13th century architectural marvel has been designated as an UNESCO World Heritage Monument. The temple, conceived as a massive chariot, hauling the sun god across the heavens by the might of seven splendidly carved horses, standing aloft on 24 chariot wheels intricately carved and symbolizing the march of time, lies in partial ruin at Konark beach.
After visit the Sun Temple continue proceed to Puri and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.
Puri is one of the four holiest points of pilgrimage for Hindus. The reigning deity of the city, Lord Jagannath, whose temple was built way back in the 12th century, is revered by thousands of pilgrims from all over the country. The other important feature of Puri is its beautiful beach, which has offered pleasure to both pilgrims and swimmers for centuries. Puri is also famous for its Golden beach ideal for swimming and surfing. But the fame of Puri emanates most from the Jagannath Temple, which contributed the word Jurrernaut to the English language. The 12th century temple is known for its annual Car Festival.
Day 11: In Puri

Visiting to Jagannath temple, Gundicha temple, Narendra Tank and Bada danda (The local market in front of the temple) and Afternoon free to relax on the beach.

Day 12: Puri - KolKata (Calcutta)
Evening you will be transferred to railway-station to board train for Kolkata (Calcutta)

The city was established in 1686 when British moved to the small villages of Sutanati, Govindpur, and Kalikata from their trading port of Hooghly. The city got its name from the last of the settlements mentioned above. The city progressed well until 1756 when Siraj-Ud-Daula (Nawab of Bengal) attacked the town and drove away the British. Lord Clive retook Calcutta- Kolkata and until 1911, Calcutta- Kolkata remained the capital of the British government in India. Being the center of power for so long created a unique culture and heritage of the city, totally unlike any other city of India. Calcutta is today a sprawling city of strange contrasts. Palatial houses, huge monuments, a center of active politics, film and theatre, culture and art, the city offers another picture of herself in its hustle-bustle, its over crowdedness, its noisy streets and narrow lanes.
Day 13: In Kolkata
Morning proceed for city sightseeing of Kolkata
Visit the Jain Temple, Zoological Gardens, St. Paul Church & Victoria memorial - Victoria Memorial has been built in a sprawling 26 hectares of land and is the best education one can possibly have of the British East India Company's rule in India. Later drive past Howrah Bridge, Dalhousie Square, Fort Williams, Secretariat Building and Old Court House Street. A visit to Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity would also be interesting.
Day 14: Kolkatta – Departure
In the morning you will be in leisure and later as per the scheduled you will be transferred to the airport for flight to your onward destination. |
