Day 01: Arrive Delhi
On your early morning arrival at International airport, transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.
Delhi, India’s modern capital is also an ancient city tracing its origins in legend. It is dotted with hundreds of landmarks and offers more than a millennium of history in stone. From here various Hindu and Muslim dynasties including the Mughals ruled India. When British administration moved to Delhi and New Delhi became the Capital of India once again.
Afternoon refreshment proceed for full day the tour of New Delhi & Old Delhi.
Morning proceed for sightseeing of New Delhi, visit Qutub Minar, One of the fine examples of early afghan architecture, Humayun Tomb; built by the wife of Humayun, Haji Begum in the mid 16th century, this red sand stone structure is considered to be the predecessor of Taj Mahal. Drive pass by India Gate (A War memorial) and Presidency House.
Afternoon sightseeing of Old Delhi include the drive past to Red Fort, visit to Jama Masjid, Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and completed in the year 1656 AD, it is one of the largest and best-known mosques, and later enjoy cycle rickshaw ride within Chandani Chowk market.

Day 02: Delhi- Chandigarh
Morning proceed to Chandigarh and on arrival check-in into the hotel.
Chandigarh as this is one of the most modern cities in the country was designed by Le Corbusier - The famous French architect. A most important site in the city is the Rock Garden, the place that has been captured by millions of cameras. Rose Garden is another important landmark and a part of Leisure Valley, a garland of gardens that ornaments the city. Government Museum and Art Gallery displays some important stone sculptures of ancient India.
Afternoon you will take visit to the city, Secretariat, High Court, State Library, Assembly Chambers, Rose Gardens, University, Botanical Garden and the beautiful lake.

Day 03: Chandigarh – Jammu
Morning proceed to Jammu and on arrival check-in into the hotel.
Nestling in the foothills of the Himalayas,. Its a beautiful city with Tawi river flowing right through the middle. There is a famous tale during 1971 Indo - Pak war when Pakistani fighter planes were flying over the Jammu Tawi bridge they only saw a little girl in a red sari - which is the Mata Vaishno devi herself. The city offers a buzz of the traditional bazaars and now recently built shopping centers in the suburbs.
Visit Raghunath Temples, Ranbir Canal and Aquarium Bagh- I- Bahu and at last view of Bahu Gardens (Bagh-e-Bahu) oldest fort and edifice in the city, it was constructed originally by Raja Bahulochan over 3,000 years ago.

Day 04: Jammu - Srinagar
Drive to Srinagar and on arrival check-in into the houseboat.
Srinagar is located in the heart of the Kashmir valley at an altitude of 1,730 m above sea level, and is the pride of the beautiful valley, It is known for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and dry fruits. The Dal and Nagin lakes are unique in having hundreds of houseboat, which afford you an opportunity to reside on the lake in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.
Afternoon you will free for personal activities.

Day 05: In Srinagar
Morning proceed for the Full day City tour of Srinagar.
Visit to the enchanting Mughal Gardens that were built by Emperor Jehangir. Visit the Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh and other beautiful gardens situated on the eastern side of the dazzling Dal Lake.
In the afternoon Shikara ride on the Dal Lake takes you to visit sites like Nehru Park, Kanutur Khana, Charchinari, a number of floating islands and typical vegatable farmer villages.
Stay overnight at Houseboat.
Day 06: Srinagar - Sonamarg - Kargil
Drive from Srinagar to Kargil via Sonamarg and Dras and on arrival check-in into the lodge for overnight stay
Day 07: Kargil - Mulbek - Alchi
Drive along the highway to Mulbek to view the 7th century rock carving of Maitreya Buddha. Continue on to Lamayuru monastery, the first monastic foundation in Ladakh. Drive across the Indus river to make a westward 20 Km detour to visit Bema village in a recently opened area where the Drokpa tribe of the Indo-Aryan racial stock live. Their features, language, religious practices differ from that of the rest of Ladakh.
Drive to Alchi for overnight stay in a hotel..
Day 08: Alchi - Leh
Visit the 11th century Alchi monastery famous for its religious wall frescoes and on the way to Leh visit Likir and Phyang monasteries.
Later continue drive to Leh and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 09: In Leh
Full day excursion to monasteries,
Thikshey is impressive Gompas. There are several temples in the gompa containing images, stupas and wall paintings of Buddha which are exquisite. Shey Palace, This Palace Monastery has the largest statue of Maitreya Buddha (Buddha to come) in Ladakh.
Visit Thiksey monastery it is quite interesting to visit the monastery early in the morning to see praying cermoney and visit one of the biggest Monastery of Leh "Hemis" On the way back visit Shey Palace.
Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 10: Leh - Nubra valley
Early morning leave for Nubra valley crossing Khardong-la pass (5605m), the highest motorable pass in the world.
Enjoy panoramic views of the Indus valley and Zanskar Mountains from the pass. Visit Sumur village and the picturesque Samstaling monastery.
Stay overnight in a camp near Tigar village.
Day 11: Nubra valley - Leh
Morning you will drive to Deskit, the main village of Nubra valley.
Visit the monastery that is located high up on the mountain face. Optionally, you may take a camel safari on the back of the double-humped Bactrian camels to Hundar.
Drive back to Leh and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 12: Leh - Delhi Departure
In time you will transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi and on arrival transfer to hotel for day use.
Later in time transfer to airport of Delhi take the flight to your onward destination. |
