Day 01: Arrival Delhi
On your arrival at International airport, transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.


Delhi, India’s modern capital is also an ancient city tracing its origins in legend.  It is dotted with hundreds of landmarks and offers more than a millennium of history in stone.  From here various Hindu and Muslim dynasties including the Mughals ruled India. When British administration moved to Delhi and New Delhi became the Capital of India once again.


Day 02: In Delhi

Full day proceed for city sightseeing of Delhi

 

Morning visit Qutub Minar, one of the fine examples of early afghan architecture, Humayun Tomb - a red sand stone structure is considered to be the predecessor of Taj Mahal. India Gate (War Memorial Arch) and Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple, Also drive past Parliament House and Presidency House.


Afternoon visit Raj Ghat - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid, one of the largest and best-known mosques, and drive past Red Fort later enjoy cycle rickshaw ride within Chandani Chowk market.
Stay overnight at hotel.

 

Day 03: In Delhi
In the morning visit The National Museum. It has a rich collection of sculpture, The Bronze gallery, rare manuscript and miniature painting etc. next visit to Crafts Museum: Within the museum itself are examples of traditional Indian crafts, wooden carving and images later visit Gandhi Memorial Museum: It displays the relics of Mahatma Gandhi, copies of his letters which he had published as well as number of photographs which depict the various aspects of his invaluable contribution to modern India.


Later visit to Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum and Nehru Memorial Museum: Teen Murti the sprawling Prime Ministerial residence of Jawaharlal Nehru, was converted into a museum after his death. The museum consequently revolves around the life and works of Nehru, especially those objects pertaining to the freedom struggle


In the afternoon visit Rail Transport Museum: This museum depicts 130 years of evolution and development of the Indian railways. The oldest preserved locomotive fairy Queen built in 1855.

Day 04: Delhi - Khajuraho
This morning you will take a flight to Khajuraho and on arrival check-in into the hotel.


Khajuraho has the largest group of medieval Hindu and Jain temples, famous for their erotic sculpture. The name Khajuraho is derived from the Hindi word khajur meaning date palm. The capital of the Chandela Kings, Khajuraho is famous for its magnificent temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and the Jain Tirthankaras. And temple are influenced by tantrism, in eroticism becomes a theme of philosophical interest and the aim is submlimation of sexual relationship in the sexual act or "Maithun", women being regarded as the incarnation of the divine energy or "Shakti". Itis also possible thatthe Khajuraho were influenced by "Kama Sutra".


Later temple visit of Khajuraho

 

Visiting western and eastern group of Temples form Chandela Dynasty, The most important are the Chaunset Yogini Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, The Mahadev Temple, Chitragupta or Bharatji Temple with a lovely image of 11 headed Vishnu, Vishvanath and Nandi Temples, Lakshmana Temple, Visha Temple of Shiva, which is the largest & most typical of temples. Visit the Eastern group of temples that consist of the Parasvanath Temple - the only Jain Temple surviving at Khajuraho and have excellent sculptures on the outer walls of the Sanctum, the Javeri Temple dedicated to Vishnu.

Day 05: Khajuraho –Orcha – Jhansi -Agra
Your day starts in the morning when you will be driven to Jhansi railway station for your train to Agra.


Arrive Agra and check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.


Agra is famous as being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World-the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendour of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid remainder of the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries. A pleasant town with comparatively slow pace, The city is also famous for its carpets, gold thread embroidery and leather shoes. Agra was once the capital of the Mughal Empire.

Day 06: Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur

Morning take city sightseeing tour of Agra

 

Visiting Taj Mahal, the monument of love built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in sweet memory of his wife after she died in 1631. Later visit the Agra Fort; this was built by Emperor Akbar in 1565. And Itimid-ud-Daulah Tomb, which is also known as Mini Taj because of its resemblance; however it was built before the Taj Mahal. 

 

Later drive to Jaipur en-route visit Fatehpur-Sikri.

Fatehpur Sikri is 40 Kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces.

 

After visit Fatehpur-Sikri continue drive to Jaipur and on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.

 

Jaipur has been like that since 1727 when Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II had it built. And In 1876 A.D. Jaipur dressed itself in pink to welcome Prince Albert, consort of Queen Victoria and earned the epitaph ‘PINK CITY', it is also a home of excellent handicrafts especially known for the exquisite gold jewellery enameled or inlaid with precious stones, blue pottery, carving on wood, stone & ivory, block print, tie & dye textiles, hand made paper, miniature painting etc.

Day 07: In Jaipur

Morning we take an excursion to the Amber Fort and afternoon visit the city.


Visiting impressive Amber Fort situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City. At the foot of the hill you will mount your caparisoned elephant for the slow but steady climb up to the main gate, The Fort, completed in the early 18th century, took over 100 years to build and now, although deserted, offers a fascinating insight into the lifestyle of the Moghul ruling families. A royal elephant ride to ascend the fort (depending upon the availability else by jeep). Also visit Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors.

 

Next visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory, & Ram Niwas Gardens. Later stop at Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace) for photography. Hawa Mahal was built in 1799, its original intention was to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life in the street below without being seen.

Day 08: In Jaipur
In the afternoon visit to the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh 2nd Museum, Chandra Mahal Palace; built in 1727, displays the ancestral collections of former Maharajas.

Also visit Central Museum (Albert Hall); Situated in the midst of Ramnivas gardens, the museum has a wide range of metal objects and large collection of miniature and paintings etc.
Stay overnight at hotel.


Day 09: Jaipur – Delhi
Morning drive to Delhi and on arrival check-in the hotel.Rest of the day you are free for independent activities.
Stay overnight at hotel.


Day 10: Depart Delhi
In time you will transfer to international airport to connect flight for onward journey.
