Central Bhutan Experience Tour

Places to visit: Delhi - Paro- Thimphu - Wangdi - Phuntsholing - Paro - Kathmandu


Day 01: Arrive Delhi
On your arrival at International airport, transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.

Delhi, India’s modern capital is also an ancient city tracing its origins in legend.  It is dotted with hundreds of landmarks and offers more than a millennium of history in stone.  From here various Hindu and Muslim dynasties including the Mughals ruled India. When British administration moved to Delhi and New Delhi became the Capital of India once again.

Day 02: In Delhi
Full day take the tour of New Delhi & Old Delhi.

 

Morning proceed for sightseeing of New Delhi, visit Qutub Minar, One of the fine examples of early afghan architecture, Humayun Tomb; built by the wife of Humayun, Haji Begum in the mid 16th century, this red sand stone structure is considered to be the predecessor of Taj Mahal.  Drive pass by India Gate (A War memorial) and Presidency House.


Afternoon sightseeing of Old Delhi include the drive past to Red Fort, visit to Jama Masjid, Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and completed in the year 1656 AD, it is one of the largest and best-known mosques, and later enjoy cycle rickshaw ride within Chandani Chowk market.

Stay overnight at hotel.

 

Day 03: Delhi - Paro
Morning you will transfer to international airport to board on flight for Paro, and on arrival transfer to hotel.
          
Rest of the day you will be free for independent activities.
Stay overnight at hotel.

 

Paro one of Bhutan's most impressive and well-known dzongs, and the finest example of Bhutanese architecture. The inward-sloping walls form a massive structure that towers over the town and is visible as a great white monolith from vantage points throughout the valley.

 

Day 04: Paro – Thimpu (65 Kms / 02 Hrs)
Full day we take city tour of Paro.

 

Visiting of the Drukgley Dzong and on a clear day the 24,000 ft. white domed peak of sacred Chomolhari (Mt. of Goddess) looms overhead. A visit to the National Museum housed in an ancient watch tower, which has a fine collection of Thangkha, textiles, weapons, and artefacts-short walk to Paro Rimpung Dzong.

 

Afternoon proceed for Thimpu by surface and on arrival check-in into the hotel.

 

Thimphu is the Capital to the tiny Himalayan kingdom Bhutan. Thimphu is a gallery of traditional Bhutanese art, architecture, culture, and tradition and above all still so ethnic and pure. Full of wonderful Hand woven textiles, woodcarving, and tailor made clothing, jewelry. And it is said that Thimphu is the only world capital without traffic lights.

 

Day 05: In Thimpu
Morning proceed for sightseeing tour of Thimpu

Visiting to the National Library which hosts a vast collection of ancient Buddhist National Institute for Zorig Chumsum It is commonly known as 'the painting school'. And National Memorial Chhorten, Trashichhodzong. Later visit to Memorial Chorten Zilukha Nunnery, Handmade Paper factory, and the premises of Tashichodzong.

 

Later you will take a visit to handicrafts Emporium, to see the exquisite artistry of traditional crafts and textiles. 
Stay overnight at hotel.

 

Day 06: Thimphu –Wangdi
After your exploration at Thimphu, proceed to Wandi by surface and on arrival check –in into the rsort.

Wangdi is located just 77 kms from the capital city and needs at least 3 hours to drive, via Dochula Pass.

 Enjoy your evening in visiting nature walk near by places.
Stay overnight is Resort.

 

Day 07: Wangdi- Paro - Phuntsholing  
Morning proceed to Phuntsholing and on arrival check –in into the hotel for overnight stay.

 

Day 08: Phuntsholing- Paro – Katmandu
In the next morning, drive to international Paro airport and catch your flight to Kathmandu. And on arrival check-in into the hotel for overnight stay.

Kathmandu the capital and cultural hub of Nepal Kingdom, surrounded by green hills and mountains with snow capped peaks against its northern and eastern background the Valley is indeed beautiful. There are complex examples of Nepal’s art and architecture all round.  

Day 09: In Kathmandu 

Half day sightseeing tour

Visiting temples of Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, temple of the living and Also visit Durbar Square, which is residence of Kumari, the Living Goddess (Virgin Goddess), its wooden balconies and windows are profusely carved. Later visit Hanuman Dhoka, the historic palace of the ancient kings of Nepal.  A complex of many temples and monuments, guarded by a huge statue of the Monkey God, It is here that the kings of Nepal are crowned, and their coronations solemnized.


Rest of the evening is free to enjoy exploring local animated market. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Kathmandu Departure
In time departure transfer to international airport to board flight for onward Journey.
