Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
Arrive early arrival at international airport, transfer to your hotel.
Kathmandu the capital and cultural hub of Nepal Kingdom, surrounded by green hills and mountains with snow capped peaks against its northern and eastern background the Valley is indeed beautiful. There are complex examples of Nepal’s art and architecture all round.
Rest of the evening is free to enjoy exploring local animated markets.
Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu - Nepalgunj
Morning you will proceed for full day city tour of Kathmandu,
Visiting temples of Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, temple of the living and Also visit Durbar Square, which is residence of Kumari, the Living Goddess (Virgin Goddess), its wooden balconies and windows are profusely carved. Later visit Hanuman Dhoka, the historic palace of the ancient kings of Nepal. A complex of many temples and monuments, guarded by a huge statue of the Monkey God, It is here that the kings of Nepal are crowned, and their coronations solemnized.
Afternoon fly top Nepalgunj and on arrival transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
The Western border town of Nepal, Nepalgunj is famous for the exciting treks to the Dopolo plateau and Jumla region. Known as the industrial and transport hub of the country,
The town has a busy bazaar area and the highest percentage of Muslim peopulation of any town in Nepal and a limited number of places where non-Indian foreigners are allowed to cross the border with India.
Day 03: Nepalgunj - Simikot
Early morning flight to Simikot by helicopter and on arrival transfer to hotel.
Simikot is located in far western Nepal, and is about as remote as you can get! Your trek will take you through a unique blend of Tibetan Buddhist and Nepali Gurung cultures. The vertiginous Himalayan trails climb up to a dramatic plateau at over 4000m. Still a traditional pilgrimage route to the holy Mt. Kailash, this trek will reward you with dramatic views and a sense of intimacy with Nepal like no other trek.
Afternoon excursion to village stay overnight at hotel
Day 04: Simikot – Hilsa
Early morning flight to Hilsa by helicopter and on arrival transfer to hotel.
Later take a 45 minutes trek to the boarder town of Sher, first Tibetan Town from where we will drive to Manasarovar. Stay overnight at camp.
Day 05: In Manasarovar
Morning excursion around Lake Manasarovar (4560m) 4hrs.
Spread out on the Tibetan plateau beside Mount Kailash is the giant lake of shifting colours - Lake Mansarovar. Brahma, the creator, had a mind (‘Man’) for the creation of a lake (‘Sarovar’), hence its name. A pilgrimage to Mount Kailash and a bath in the Mansarovar is believed to bring about salvation (Moksha). Mount Kailash, which is believed to have been formed 30 million years ago when Himalayas were in their early stage of formation, is one of the most revered places in the Himalayas.
Afternoon you will drive to Asthapath, trek starting point for Parikarma. Stay overnight at camp.
Day 06: Manasarovar - Dirapuk (12/ 06 Hrs)
Morning trek to Dirapuk and on arrival take a rest in camp.
Stay overnight in camp.
Day 07: Dirapuk - Zuthul Puk (22 Kms / 11 hrs)
Morning trek to Zuthul Puk and on arrival take a rest in camp.
Stay overnight in camp.
Day 08: Zuthul Puk - End Kailash Parikarma
today trek end Kailash Parikarma near Darchen. Stay overnight at Darchen.
Day 09: Darchen – Sher - Hilsa
Morning drive to Hilsa via Sher and on arrival overnight stay in camp.
Day 10: Hilsa – Kathmandu
Early morning fly to Kathmandu by helicopter and on arrival transfer to airport to connect flight for onwards journey. |
